Time:<\/strong> 9:30 p<\/span>.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)<\/p>\n

It’s an important Game 4<\/a> that features in our NHL predictions as the Utah Mammoth<\/a> host the Vegas Golden Knights.<\/a> Utah gave its fans something to cheer about after winning its first Stanley Cup Playoff home game in franchise history in Game 3.<\/p>\n

Lawson Crouse<\/a> scored twice as the Mammoth collected a 4-2 win over the Pacific Division champions. Karel Vejmelka<\/a> made 30 saves, and MacKenzie Weegar<\/a> added a goal and an assist for Utah.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jack Eichel<\/a> and Nic Dowd<\/a> each tallied for Vegas. However, the main question is goaltending after Carter Hart<\/a> was pulled after giving up all four goals on 12 shots. The Golden Knights will have to solve their goaltending situation if they have any designs on advancing past round one.<\/p>\n

Let’s take a look at the statistics and storylines entering this critical Game 4 in our NHL predictions.<\/p>\n

The Golden Knights Story<\/h3>\n

Vegas has been inconsistent at times during the 2025-26 campaign. There have been times that the Golden Knights looked like they would challenge for the team’s second Stanley Cup in franchise history. However, there have been times where Vegas has looked completely lost on the ice.<\/p>\n

Hart is listed as the projected starter for the Golden Knights as of press time. However, keep an eye on social media to see who Vegas will start in between the pipes. Head coach John Tortorella may have no other option but to start the wildly inconsistent Adin Hill<\/a> in this game.<\/p>\n

Mark Stone<\/a>, Ivan Barbashev<\/a>, and Eichel each are tied for the team’s lead in points. However, all three only have three points apiece to top the charts. The Golden Knights will need their offence to come alive in order to get back on track.<\/p>\n

The Mammoth Story<\/h3>\n

It’s been a wild first Stanley Cup Playoff run for the Mammoth. Utah could put itself in good position to take on the winner of the Anaheim Ducks versus the Edmonton Oilers with a win in this game. Utah may be a wild card team, but it’s proving that Vegas is going to have to work hard to advance to the conference semifinals.<\/p>\n

Vejmelka has been solid in the last two games for the Mammoth. Utah may only have a two games to one series lead. However, the Czech netminder has been much better than his counterpart on the other side of the ice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Utah also needs some more offensive pop if it wants to better going forward. Crouse’s big game has him tied with Logan Cooley<\/a> for the most goals on the team with two. However, Kailer Yamamoto<\/a> has dished out three assists and rejuvenated himself with the Mammoth.<\/p>\n

Prediction<\/h3>\n

Both teams would love to get the win in this game. Vegas needs the victory to turn the series into a best-of-three, but Utah would love to get a stranglehold of this series. It’s going to be a low-scoring affair, but Utah’s stability in goal gives it the edge in this game.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Mammoth win 3-2.<\/em><\/p>\n

Best Bets<\/h3>\n

We close out NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. The over\/under for the Golden Knights and Mammoth is 5.5, and we like the under in htis game.<\/p>\n

As for individual props, go with Noah Hanifin<\/a> to get a power play point for Vegas. On the Utah side of things, take Clayton Keller<\/a> to score an anytime goal.<\/p>\n
