Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)<\/p>\n<p>Our opening and featured game of NHL predictions has the<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2026\/04\/13\/prime-monday-night-hockey-dallas-stars-vs-toronto-maple-leafs\/\" target=\"_self\"> Dallas Stars<\/a> taking on the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2026\/04\/13\/nhl-predictions-chicago-blackhawks-vs-buffalo-sabres-april-13\/\" target=\"_self\">Buffalo Sabres.<\/a> Both teams are headed to the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Many expected the Stars to make the playoffs. However, no one saw the Buffalo Sabres coming.<\/p>\n<p><a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/o\/oettija01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-15_hr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jake Oettinger<\/a> is the expected starter for the Stars. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. <a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/r\/roberja01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-15_hr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jason Robertson<\/a> is tied with <a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/j\/johnswy01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-15_hr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wyatt Johnston<\/a> for the team&#8217;s lead in goals with 45. It&#8217;s going to be a party-like atmosphere at KeyBank Center. <a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/t\/thompta01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-15_hr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tage Thompson<\/a> leads the team in goals (40), assists (41), and points (81) so far this season.<\/p>\n<p>Both teams may rest players to get ready for the postseason. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)<\/p>\n<p>Our second and final game of NHL predictions is a Pacific Division matchup between the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2026\/04\/08\/nhl-seattle-kraken-news-president-hockey-operations-leaving\/\" target=\"_self\">Seattle Kraken<\/a> and the<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2026\/04\/07\/nhl-predictions-vegas-golden-knights-vancouver-canucks-april-7th\/\" target=\"_self\"> Vegas Golden Knights.<\/a> Seattle is likely to give <span>Nikke Kokko the start in this game to give the youngster some reps. The Kraken are going to miss the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the fourth time in their first five seasons. However, Seattle has beaten Vegas all three times so far this season. Captain <a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/e\/eberljo01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-15_hr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jordan Eberle<\/a> leads the team in points with 55.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/hartca01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-15_hr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carter Hart<\/a> is the projected starter for the Golden Knights, who are going to the playoffs again. Vegas is 6-1-3 in the last 10 games, including two consecutive wins. The Golden Knights can <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nhl\/standings\/_\/view\/wild-card\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">get the Pacific Division<\/a> title with just a point against the Kraken. However, Vegas gets the division with the win.<\/p>\n<p><em>Prediction: Golden Knights win 5-2.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Best Bets<\/h3>\n<p>We close out NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. Let&#8217;s stay with the final of the night for our prop bets.
