They are 1-9 in their last ten games, and have been outscored 47-25 in that span. It has been nothing short of misery on the ice, as they have been dominated night after night, it seems. With that, rumours about the status of head coach Adam Foote and general manager Patrik Allvin are in the air. Canucks fans will likely look to the upcoming draft lottery, as well as what happens off the ice, as the main subject of conversation going forward.

The Sharks Story

San Jose, with four games remaining, sits four points out of Stanley Cup Playoff contention, which leaves their odds of making it very low. However, they have made great strides in making hockey in San Jose worth watching once again, with the likes of Macklin Celebrini dazzling the crowd night in and night out. Just like the Canucks, they struggle with keeping the puck out of their net, as they are 31st in the league in goals-against, just above Vancouver. They have the star power that can mask their defensive issues, but it is very top-heavy, with Celebrini carrying the majority of their offensive production.

Starting Goalies

Below are the projected starters for tonight’s game. Please check social media for the most updated information before locking in your daily fantasy lineups.

For Vancouver, given that it is a back-to-back situation, Nikita Tolopilo and Jiri Patera will likely see some action this weekend. Tolopilo is our predicted starter for the game, but look out for Patera to start as well. In 20 games this season, he has a 5-11-2 record, a 3.66 goals-against average, and an .881 save percentage. He has lost six straight starts coming into this matchup. Patera has played one game this season, has a 7.39 goals-against average and an .825 save percentage.

For San Jose, Alex Nedeljkovic could get the start. In 38 games this season, he has a 16-14-4 record, a 2.95 goals-against average, and an .893 save percentage.

Prediction and Best Bets

The Sharks need to win this game to stay relevant in the playoff chase, but given how the Canucks have played lately, it should not be too difficult to win. With the number of goals both teams allow, it could make for a messy game.

Prediction: Sharks win 5-3.

Best Bets

To wrap things up, here are our anytime goal scorer picks.
