We open up NHL predictions with our featured game between the Colorado Avalanche<\/a> and the Dallas Stars<\/a>. Colorado is expected to give Mackenzie Blackwood<\/a> the start in this game. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Avs are 5-4-1 in their last 10 games and are without All-World defenceman Cale Makar<\/a>. This game will represent the 1,000th consecutive game<\/a> that veteran blueliner Brent Burns<\/a> has played in.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jake Oettinger<\/a> is the projected starter for Dallas, which is 3-5-2 in its last 10 games. However, the Stars did pick up an important victory over the Winnipeg Jets<\/a> last time out. Wyatt Johnston<\/a> has the team’s lead in goals this season with 41. The Stars have a chance to win the season series over the Avalanche with a victory.<\/p>\n

Colorado is still a talented team without Makar. However, Dallas should register the win.<\/p>\n

Our second game of NHL predictions has the Buffalo Sabres<\/a> attempting to end their long playoff drought when they take on the Washington Capitals.<\/a> Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen<\/a> is the likely starter for the Sabres, who are 6-2-2 in their last 10 games. However, Buffalo did lose to the Ottawa Senators<\/a> last time out. Tage Thompson<\/a> leads in goals (38), assists (40), and points (78) this season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Logan Thompson<\/a> is the probable starter for the Capitals, who are also 6-2-2 in their previous 10 games and coming off a loss. Washington is three points behind the second wild card spot despite some writing the team off. Alex Ovechkin<\/a> leads the team in goals (31) and points (59) for the Capitals.<\/p>\n

Buffalo may already have a playoff spot locked up by the time the puck drops. However, the Sabres will leave no doubt with a win.<\/p>\n

Vegas Golden Knights vs Edmonton Oilers<\/h2>\n

Our last game of NHL predictions has the Vegas Golden Knights<\/a> looking to avoid the season sweep against the Edmonton Oilers<\/a>. Adin Hill<\/a> is the projected starter for the Golden Knights, who are 4-4-2 in their last 10 games. New head coach John Tortorella has won his first two games in charge. However, taking on the Oilers is a different animal. Pavel Dorofeyev<\/a> leads the team in goals with 35.<\/p>\n

Connor Ingram<\/a> is the expected starter for the Oilers, who are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games. Edmonton has put together a five-game winning streak despite not having Leon Draisaitl<\/a> in the lineup. Connor McDavid<\/a> continues to make his case for the Hart Trophy with 126 points so far this campaign.<\/p>\n

The Golden Knights are getting that new coach bump. However, the Oilers have dominated this matchup in recent seasons.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Oilers win 4-2.<\/em><\/p>\n

Best Bets<\/h3>\n

We close out NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. Let’s go back to our featured game for some preferred props. The over\/under for the Avalanche versus the Stars is 6.5, and we like the over in this game.<\/p>\n

As far as individual props go, take Burns to get an assist in his milestone game for Colorado. On the Dallas side of things, take Jason Robertson<\/a> to net a goal.<\/p>\n
