Utah sits at 39-30-6 after 75 games, with 84 points, while Vancouver sits at 22-45-8 after 75 games, with 52 points. This marks the third and final meeting between these two teams. Utah won the last meeting, 6-2, on February 2nd.

The Mammoth Story

Utah needs to get itself Stanley Cup playoff-ready, as they have been in the same spot in the Western Conference for a long time now. They are currently in the first wild card spot, with no real danger of missing the playoffs, but out of reach for a top-three spot in the Central Division. The question will be, how much motivation will they have down the stretch? They still need to win a few more games to clinch a spot in the postseason, so it would be in their best interest to play some of their best hockey now. Fortunately, their offence ranks in the top half of the league, and their goals against ranks in the top five in the league, which is a good sign.

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOBPGI0I3Py" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 5128px; aspect-ratio: 5128/3419;" ></smartframe-embed>

Credit Image: © Alex Cave/ZUMA Press Wire

The Canucks Story

Rejoice, team tank! Vancouver has clinched the best odds for the NHL Draft Lottery and has guaranteed a pick in the top three in the upcoming draft. They continue to play out the string, but they have no stress on them, which can be beneficial for young players to learn the ways of the league. Consider it like a training camp for the up-and-coming prospects, such as Zeev Buium, Elias Pettersson (the defenceman), Tom Willander, and Liam Ohgren.

Starting Goalies

Below are the projected starters for tonight’s game.
