We open up<\/a> NHL predictions with our featured game between the Boston Bruins<\/a> and the Buffalo Sabres<\/a>. Joonas Korpisalo<\/a> is the projected starter after Jeremy Swayman<\/a> got the call against the Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a>. Boston is 5-2-3 in its previous 10 games but did suffer a loss to Toronto in its last time out. The Bruins are holding the first wild card spot in the Eastern Conference. However, the Detroit Red Wings<\/a> and New York Islanders<\/a> are lurking. Morgan Geekie<\/a> is first on the club in goals with 34 so far this season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Buffalo is expected to give Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen<\/a> the start in goal in the first game back from the team’s West Coast trip. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Sabres are 8-1-1 in the last 10 games but are coming off a wild 6-5 overtime loss to the Anaheim Ducks.<\/a> Tage Thompson<\/a> leads the team in goals (36) and points (72) so far this season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both teams are coming off losses in their previous games. However, the Sabres get back on track with a win.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Sabres win 4-3.<\/em><\/p>\n

New York Rangers vs Toronto Maple Leafs<\/h2>\n

Our second and final game of NHL predictions is an Original Six battle between the New York Rangers<\/a> and the Maple Leafs. Igor Shesterkin<\/a> is the probable starter for the Rangers, who are 4-5-1 in their previous 10 games. This includes a five-game losing streak, which has pretty much crushed any chance of them getting back on track. Mika Zibanejad<\/a> leads the team in goals (30), assists (37), and points (67).<\/p>\n

Joseph Woll<\/a> is the expected starter for the Maple Leafs, who are 3-5-2 in their last 10 games. However, Toronto is coming off a victory against rival Boston on Tuesday night. The Maple Leafs are without captain Auston Matthews<\/a> for the rest of the season, so the club is just playing out the string. William Nylander<\/a> leads the club in assists (42) and points (67).<\/p>\n

Both teams had lofty expectations for the season. However, Toronto collects the win at home.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Maple Leafs win 4-2.<\/em><\/p>\n

Best Bets<\/h3>\n

We close out NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. Let’s go back to our featured game for our preferred props bets. The over\/under for the Bruins and the Sabres is 6.5, and we like the over in this game.<\/p>\n

As far as individual props, take David Pastrnak<\/a> to have a multiple-point night for Boston. On the Buffalo end of things, take Alex Tuch<\/a> to get a goal.<\/p>\n
