St. Louis sits at 27-30-11 after 68 games, with 65 points, while Vancouver sits at 21-39-8 after 68 games, with 50 points. This is the third and final meeting between these two teams. Vancouver beat St. Louis in their last meeting, 4-3, on October 30th.

The Blues Story

After selling off players at the NHL Trade Deadline, the Blues have surprisingly had a strong run and are not giving up in the Stanley Cup Playoff chase. However, they remain six points out of the playoffs with 14 games to go. According to MoneyPuck’s playoff odds, they sit at just about a one percent chance to make it. Needless to say, the Blues will fight to the finish because players will never tank.

The reason for the Blues’ recent success is the improved defensive metrics over the last stretch. Since March 1st, the Blues have only allowed 1.78 goals per game, which is the best in the league. Joel Hofer has been leading his team’s final playoff push, as he has a .955 save percentage in six games since March 1st. Robert Thomas, Jimmy Snuggerud, and Dylan Holloway have also been impressive in the month of March, each being above a point per game.

The Canucks Story

Vancouver’s game is coming along, despite middling results. They lost 6-2 to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday, but it was not due to a lack of effort. The BRÖ line (Brock Boeser, Marco Rossi, and Liam Ohgren) continues to impress on a nightly basis. Rossi is riding a four-game point streak in which he has recorded three goals and six assists for nine points. Vancouver is 3-3-1 in its past seven games after going 4-18-4 in its previous 26, which is a sign that the team is playing more loosely and having more fun after the Trade Deadline.

Starting Goalies

Below are the projected starters for tonight’s game. Please check social media for the most updated information before locking in your daily fantasy lineups.

St. Louis will likely ride the hot goalie and go with Joel Hofer as the starter. In 37 games this season, he has a 17-11-5 record, a 2.65 goals-against average, and a .909 save percentage. As the Blues continue to push for a playoff spot, there is no margin for error, so Hofer is the best bet to get them a win.

For Vancouver, Nikita Tolopilo should get the start. In 15 games this season, he has a 5-6-2 record, a 3.34 goals-against average, and an .892 save percentage.

Prediction and Best Bets

St. Louis is desperately in need of a win, and they need to play like it. Vancouver will not back down without a proper fight, but we expect the Blues to get the much-needed two points in this contest.

Prediction: Blues win 5-3.

Best Bets

To wrap things up, here are our anytime goal scorer picks.
