Vancouver sits at 19-36-7 after 62 games, with 45 points, while Winnipeg sits at 25-26-10 after 61 games, with 60 points. This is the third and final meeting between these two teams. Winnipeg defeated Vancouver in their last meeting, 3-2, on February 25th, in Vancouver.

The Canucks Story

Vancouver snapped a seven-game losing streak against the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday, winning 6-3. It marked their first game after the NHL Trade Deadline, which saw Conor Garland, Tyler Myers and other players leave the Canucks. Perhaps it was the feeling of a burden being lifted off the team’s shoulders that pushed them to victory on Friday. Having only won three out of 23 games in 2026, the Canucks are not expected to win many games to finish the season. However, that should not stop them from giving it their all every night and for the veterans to guide the young players through this difficult process. They currently sit ten points behind the Calgary Flames for last place in the NHL. Of course, it is in the Canucks’ best interest to remain in last place for the best draft lottery odds, but with a cushion like that, they can afford a win here and there.

The Jets Story

Winnipeg also sold a couple of pending unrestricted free agents at the deadline, in Logan Stanley and Luke Schenn. It has not been a great year for the team, but they would likely look to bounce back next season rather than go into a retool or rebuild. They still have the firepower to be a dangerous team, with the likes of Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor leading the way. They currently sit seven points out of a Stanley Cup Playoff spot, and although it is unlikely the Jets make it to the postseason, they will certainly look to push to get there.

Starting Goalies

Below are the projected starters for tonight’s game. Please check social media for the most updated information before locking in your daily fantasy lineups.

For Vancouver, Kevin Lankinen should get the start on the second half of the back-to-back. He has a 7-20-4 record, a 3.75 goals-against average, and an .873 save percentage in 34 games this season. He had another rough game in his last appearance against the Carolina Hurricanes, getting pulled after allowing four goals on 22 shots.

For Winnipeg, Connor Hellebuyck likely gets the start. He has a 15-16-9 record, a 2.73 goals-against average, and a .901 save percentage in 40 games this season. A bit of a below-average season for him so far, but that more reflects on the team itself rather than just himself.

Prediction and Best Bets

Vancouver’s players must be feeling better about themselves after finally winning a game, but they are the 32nd-place team for a reason. Although Winnipeg is also not a fantastic team, they should have the edge over Vancouver’s poor structure.

Prediction: Jets win 4-2.

Best Bets

To wrap things up, here are our anytime goal scorer picks. For Vancouver, we will count on Drew O’Connor to score a goal. On the Winnipeg side, we will pick Mark Scheifele to pot one.

Main Photo Credit: Bob Frid-Imagn Images

Please play responsibly, check for your local rules and age restrictions; some jurisdictions require ages 21+.
