That said, a 6-4-4 this month isn\u2019t completely inspiring.<\/p>\n<p>At 57 points, there\u2019s still time for the Kings to turn things around and get back into a playoff spot. They sit two points out of both third in the Pacific Division and a Western Conference Wild Card spot. The Kings also are tied for the second-fewest regulation wins in the NHL with 14.<\/p>\n<p><a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kempead01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-01-30_hr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Adrian Kempe<\/a> continues to be a primary source of offence. Kempe has 18 goals and 41 points to lead the team. Offence as a whole has been hard to come by for the Kings. Like the Kings, the Flyers are at 57 points in the standings, but the outlook for them looks far different.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of a two-point margin to be back in playoff position, the Flyers are eight points back of third place in the Metropolitan Division and 10 points out of a wildcard spot. In short, another season is slipping away quickly.<\/p>\n<p>One Flyer who has been on fire lately is <a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/konectr01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-01-30_hr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Travis Konecny<\/a>. After recording a hat trick in a loss in Columbus on Wednesday, Konecny opened the scoring in Boston. The Flyers are just looking for anything to stop the freefall, and at this point, it might take reaching the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2026\/01\/28\/nhl-team-canada-olympics-roster-forward-chatter\/\" target=\"_self\">Olympic<\/a> break to do it. Give the Kings the edge in this one.<\/p>\n<p>For best bets for the Kings, take <a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/byfiequ01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-01-30_hr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Quinton Byfield<\/a> for a goal. Byfield has seven points in seven career games against the Flyers.<\/p>\n<p>For the Flyers, ride the hot hand and take Travis Konecny for an anytime goal.
