Flyers\u2019 Storylines<\/h3>\n

The six-game losing streak is finally over after the Flyers secured a 2-1 win over the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday, snapping Vegas\u2019 seven-game winning streak in the process. Travis Konecny<\/a> single-handedly powered the offence with a pair of goals. Konecny has 12 goals since the start of December, a span of 22 games.<\/p>\n

Another major storyline in Monday\u2019s game was the performance of Samuel Ersson<\/a>. Ersson\u2019s struggles have been no secret, but the Flyers\u2019 netminder made 24 saves for his first win since December 23. The Flyers will continue to lean on Ersson for a bit longer. Daniel Vladar<\/a> is with the team on the current road trip, but likely won\u2019t return from injury<\/a> until Friday at the earliest.<\/p>\n

Mammoth Storylines<\/h3>\n

The Mammoth have stormed into 2026 with wins in seven of nine games and a seven-game points streak entering Wednesday\u2019s game. That has them back in a wildcard spot in the Western Conference.<\/p>\n

Nick Schmaltz<\/a> has seven points in the last five games, including four goals. Clayton Keller<\/a> has gone eight straight games without a goal, but has 10 assists over the last six games. Dylan Guenther<\/a> leads the way with 23 goals on the season, but has just three in the last eight games.<\/p>\n

Utah is also paced by the solid goaltending of Karel Vejmelka<\/a>. Vejmelka has made 37 starts already this season with a 23-11-2 record, a 2.55 GAA, and a .902 save percentage.<\/p>\n

Prediction and Best Bets<\/h3>\n

These two teams have a history of playing close games. The Flyers may have found some new life getting back into the win column, but the Mammoth have been rolling for some time now. Expect a close game with Utah getting the edge.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Mammoth 3, Flyers 2 (OT)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

For best bets on the Flyers, take Travis Konecny for an anytime goal. Konecny has factored into four of the last five goals for the Flyers as a team, scoring three of them. Konecny also has three goals in his career against Vejmelka and two goals against Utah backup Vitek Vanecek<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For the Mammoth, take both Dylan Guenther and Clayton Keller to pick up at least one point. Keller is a point-per-game player against the Flyers, with five goals and 14 points in 14 games. Guenther has a much smaller sample size against the Flyers, but has made his mark with two goals and two assists in three games.<\/p>\n
