The Canadiens are 6-1-3 in their previous 10 games, including victories in three of their last four games. Olympic snub <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/caufico01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-01-03_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cole Caufield<\/a> leads the team in goals with 20 so far this campaign.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/binnijo01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-01-03_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jordan Binnington<\/a> is the projected starter for the Blues after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/hoferjo01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-01-03_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Joel Hofer<\/a> got the 4-3 win against the<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2025\/12\/11\/nhl-predictions-dec-11-vegas-golden-knights-vs-philadelphia-flyers\/\" target=\"_self\"> Vegas Golden Knights.<\/a> St Louis did beat Montreal, 4-3, on December 7. The Blues are 5-4-1 in their last 10 games entering this matchup. St Louis has struggled to score this season but did get four goals on Friday. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/n\/neighja01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-01-03_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jake Neighbours<\/a> is first on the team in goals with 10.<\/p>\n<p>Both teams are coming off wins on Friday.
