Tampa Bay is coming off a 2-0 shutout loss to the<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2025\/12\/08\/toronto-maple-leafs-goaltender-dennis-hildeby-playing-time\/\" target=\"_self\"> Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a> in the Monday Night Hockey on Prime matchup. The Lightning are 6-4 in the previous 10 games, but have dropped their last four games. Leading point-getter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kucheni01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-12-09_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nikita Kucherov<\/a> returned to the lineup against the Leafs, but only recorded two shots against in the loss.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/montesa01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-12-09_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sam Montembeault<\/a> is the probable starter for the Canadiens, who are 5-4-1 in the last 10 games. Montreal is coming off a loss to the St Louis Blues on Sunday night. The Habs are a top-10 goal-scoring team with 3.21 goals scored per game. However, Montreal is 29th in goals allowed with 3.46.<\/p>\n<p>Tampa Bay is coming off a tough loss with a young goalie in between the pipes. Montreal should bounce back with a win.<\/p>\n<p><em>Prediction: Canadiens win 3-2.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>Dallas Stars vs Winnipeg Jets<\/h3>\n<h3>Head-to-Head: Stars 1-0 Jets<\/h3>\n<p>How to Watch:<\/p>\n<p><strong>US TV:<\/strong> Victory+; ESPN+<\/p>\n<p><strong>Canada TV:<\/strong> TSN3<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time:<\/strong> 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time<\/p>\n<p>Our second and featured game of NHL predictions has the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2025\/12\/06\/nhl-rumours-dallas-stars-might-get-aggressive-in-trade-market\/\" target=\"_self\">Dallas Stars<\/a> visiting the<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2025\/12\/06\/nhl-predictions-dec-6-winnipeg-jets-vs-edmonton-oilers\/\" target=\"_self\"> Winnipeg Jets<\/a> for the second time this season. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/o\/oettija01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-12-09_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jake Oettinger<\/a> is the projected starter for this game. The Stars are 8-0-2 in their previous 10 games and look like one of the best teams in the league. The Jets have struggled to find consistency this season, and that has really shown without Hellebuyck in the lineup. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/connoky01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-12-09_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kyle Connor<\/a> leads the team in goals with 15, while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/scheima01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-12-09_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mark Scheifele<\/a> is tops in assists (22) and points (36).<\/p>\n<p>Dallas is on a roll, and Winnipeg is struggling.
