We open up the NHL predictions with the Vancouver Canucks<\/a> visiting the Tampa Bay Lightning.<\/a> Kevin Lankinen<\/a> is expected to get the start for Vancouver, but always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Canucks are 4-4-2 in the last 10 games, including losses in their previous three games. Elias Pettersson<\/a> is tops in points so far this campaign with 15.<\/p>\n

Jonas Johansson<\/a> will likely get the start with Tampa Bay playing the night before. The Lightning picked up a victory over the rival Florida Panthers<\/a> on Saturday night. Tampa Bay is 8-2 in its last 10 games entering this matchup. Jake Guentzel<\/a> leads a balanced attack with 16 points, but four others have double-digit points.<\/p>\n

Tampa Bay has been playing well in recent games and should get the victory.<\/p>\n

Our featured game<\/a> of NHL predictions has the Red Wings battling the Rangers. Cam Talbot<\/a> is the expected starter for Detroit, which is 5-4-1 in the last 10 games. The Wings are coming off an overtime loss to the Buffalo Sabres<\/a> on Saturday. Dylan Larkin<\/a> is first on the team in goals (11) and points (22), but Lucas Raymond<\/a> is tops in assists with 14.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Quick<\/a> is the projected starter with the Blueshirts, who are winners of their last three games in a row. New York is 7-3 in the last 10 games, but is 1-6-1 at Madison Square Garden this season. William Cuylle<\/a> and Mika Zibanejad<\/a> are tied for first in goals with six each. A newly-bald Artemi Panarin<\/a> is first in points with 17.<\/p>\n

Both teams are coming off overtime games on Saturday, but the Rangers get their second straight win at home.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Rangers win 4-3.<\/em><\/p>\n

New York Islanders vs Colorado Avalanche<\/h3>\n

Our last game of NHL predictions has the New York Islanders<\/a> taking on the Colorado Avalanche<\/a>. Ilya Sorokin<\/a> is the likely starter for the Islanders, who are winners of their last four games. New York is 6-3-1 in the last 10 games entering this matchup. Bo Horvat<\/a> is either first or tied for first on the team in goals, assists, and points.<\/p>\n

Colorado is expected to start newly-extended goalie Scott Wedgewood<\/a> in this game. The Avs have taken their last five consecutive games and are 7-1-2 in the last 10 games. Nathan MacKinnon<\/a> is first on the team in goals (14), assists (19), and points (33) so far for Colorado.<\/p>\n

This should be a good one, but take the home team in this one.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Avalanche win 4-3.<\/em><\/p>\n

Prop Bets of the Night<\/h3>\n

We round out NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. Let’s go back to our featured game for our favourite props. The over\/under for the Red Wings versus the Rangers is 5.5, and we like the over in this game.<\/p>\n

As for individual props, go with Patrick Kane<\/a> to score an anytime goal against one of his former teams for Detroit. On the New York side of things, take Adam Fox<\/a> to get at least one power-play point.<\/p>\n
