We open up<\/a> NHL predictions with our featured game between the Canucks and the Hurricanes. Kevin Lankinen<\/a> is the expected starter with Thatcher Demko<\/a> out for the next few weeks. However, always check social media before locking down a daily fantasy starter. Vancouver is 4-5-1 in the last 10 games, which includes defeats in its last two games. The Canucks score 2.83 goals per game, but also allow 3.5 goals per game. Elias Pettersson<\/a> and Quinn Hughes<\/a> are tied for first in points with 13 for Vancouver.<\/p>\n

Frederik Andersen<\/a> is the probable starter for Carolina, which is 6-4 in the last 10 games. However, the Hurricanes lost in their last game to the Washington Capitals.<\/a> Carolina has one of the better goal-scoring units with 3.69 goals scored per game, which is third in the league. The Canes are a top 10 defence, with only 2.88 allowed per game. Sebastian Aho<\/a> leads in assists (10) and points (16), but Seth Jarvis<\/a> is the team’s leading goal-scorer with 10.<\/p>\n

Lankinen is a very capable goalie, but the defence has struggled in front of all the Canucks’ goalies. Carolina should take advantage of it.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Hurricanes win 5-2.<\/em><\/p>\n

Philadelphia Flyers vs St Louis Blues<\/h3>\n

Time: 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)<\/p>\n

Our second and last game of NHL predictions has the Philadelphia Flyers<\/a> visiting the St Louis Blues.<\/a> Daniel Vladar<\/a> is the projected starter for the Flyers, who are 5-3-2 in the last 10 games. However, Philadelphia has dropped its last two games entering this matchup. Trevor Zegras<\/a> has been off to a strong start with the Flyers in his first season on the team. Zegras has four goals and 12 assists for 16 points.<\/p>\n

Jordan Binnington<\/a> is the likely starter for the Blues, who are 3-5-2 in the last 10 games. However, St Louis did in its game against the Calgary Flames<\/a> on Tuesday. Pius Suter<\/a> is the team’s leader in points with 10, while Robert Thomas<\/a> is first in assists with seven.<\/p>\n

The Blues have been struggling in recent games. Philadelphia should get the road win.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Flyers win 4-2.<\/em><\/p>\n

Prop Bets of the Night<\/h3>\n

We round out this edition of NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. Let’s go back to our featured game for our preferred prop bets. The over\/under for Canucks and Hurricanes is 6.5, and we like the over.<\/p>\n

As for individual props, go with Conor Garland<\/a> to register at least a point for Vancouver. On the Carolina side of things, take Jackson Blake<\/a> to get the over on 0.5 points.<\/p>\n
