Our opening game of NHL predictions is the Battle of New York between the New York Islanders<\/a> and the New York Rangers. The Islanders are coming off a 5-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild<\/a> on Friday night. Ilya Sorokin<\/a> is the confirmed starter for the Isles. Bo Horvat<\/a> continues to be the team’s leader in goals (9) and points (16) so far this campaign.<\/p>\n

Igor Shestrkin is the expected starter after Jonathan Quick<\/a> got the call against the Detroit Red Wings.<\/a> However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Blueshirts have won four of their last five games entering this game. Artemi Panarin<\/a> collected a goal and two assists in the 4-1 victory over Detroit.<\/p>\n

The Rangers seem to be playing better lately, and both teams are coming off games on Friday. However, the hosts will finally break through at home.<\/p>\n

Predictions: Rangers win 3-2.<\/em><\/p>\n

Utah Mammoth vs Montreal Canadiens<\/h3>\n

We have a battle between the Utah Mammoth and the Montreal Canadiens<\/a> on Saturday night. Utah is expected to give Karel Vejmelka<\/a> the start between the pipes. The Mammoth are 7-3 in the last 10 games, but are coming off a loss last time out. Nick Schmaltz<\/a> and Logan Cooley<\/a> are tied for first in goals with eight. However, Schmaltz is first in assists (10) and points (18).<\/p>\n

Sam Montembeault<\/a> is the projected goalie for the Canadiens, who are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss to the New Jersey Devils<\/a>. However, the Habs are 6-2-2 in their last games despite the two defeats. Nick Suzuki<\/a> is leading the team in assists (16) and points (19), while Cole Caufield<\/a> is tops in goals with 10.<\/p>\n

Both teams are coming off defeats, but the Canadiens emerge victorious.<\/p>\n

Predictions: Canadiens win 4-3.<\/p>\n

Colorado Avalanche vs Edmonton Oilers<\/h3>\n

Our final and featured game<\/a> of NHL predictions has the Avalanche taking on the Oilers. Mackenzie Blackwood<\/a> is the probable starter for Colorado, which is 5-1-4 in the last 10 games. The Avs did win in their last game against the Tampa Bay Lightning<\/a>. Nathan MacKinnon<\/a> is leading in goals (10) and points (20), while Cale Makar<\/a> has 14 assists.<\/p>\n

Stuart Skinner<\/a> is the confirmed starter in goal for the Oilers, who have dropped the last two games. Edmonton is 4-3-3 in the last 10 games entering this matchup. The Oilers score an average of 3.07 goals per game, but also allow 3.07 goals per game. Connor McDavid<\/a> leads the club in assists (17) and points (21), but Leon Draisaitl<\/a> is tops in goals with 10.<\/p>\n

Both teams have plenty of offensive firepower. However, Colorado gets the win.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Avalanche win 5-4.<\/em><\/p>\n

We close out NHL predictions with some prop bets. Let’s stay with our featured game for our preferred props. The over\/under for the Avalanche and the Oilers is 6.5, and we like the over in this game.<\/p>\n

As for individual props, go with Martin Necas<\/a> to score a goal for Colorado. On the Edmonton side, take Evan Bouchard<\/a> to get a power-play point.<\/p>\n
