Thus far on the campaign, they have shown no signs of slowing down. One question mark heading into the season was, how long it would take Peterka to mesh with his new linemates. So far, it’s been a fairly smooth transition. The aforementioned three Utah forwards have been a big reason why the team is playing so well. Cooley, 21, Guenther, 22, and Peterka, 23, each already have ten or more points. As a line, they’ve also allowed only four goals against and are a +23 in shot attempts, 118 for and 95 against, or ninth. This is telling of just how dominant they’ve been while possessing the puck. The German winger has given this line an entirely different gear, putting other defences on notice. Just based on this play, Peterka started the play with a quick transition and then used his speed on the forecheck to get the puck. Cooley then made a blind backhand pass to Guenther, who wired it to the top corner. It was a combination that was made possible because of Peterka, and the high hockey IQ of Cooley.

Seriously what do they feed this kid?
