We open up<\/a> NHL predictions with a big matchup between the Vegas Golden Knights<\/a> and the Carolina Hurricanes<\/a>. Vegas is scheduled to start Akira Schmid<\/a> in goal. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Golden Knights have lost the last two games heading into the matchup. Jack Eichel<\/a> is first on the team in assists (10) and points (16), but Pavel Dorofeyev<\/a> is leading the team in goals with seven.<\/p>\n

Carolina is expected to counter with Frederik Andersen<\/a> in goal for this game. The Hurricanes have only lost two games all season, but one of those was a loss to the Golden Knights. Seth Jarvis<\/a> is first on the club in goals (7) and points so far this campaign. However, Sebastian Aho<\/a> and Shayne Gostisbehere<\/a> are both first in assists with six.<\/p>\n

Vegas is dealing with a plethora of injuries. That should help Carolina get the home win.<\/p>\n

Our featured game of NHL predictions is the Jets trying to extend an eight-game winning streak against the Wild. Connor Hellebuyck<\/a> is the expected starter for the Jets, who are coming off a loss to the Utah Mammoth<\/a> on Sunday. Winnipeg is off to a 6-3 start so far this campaign. Mark Scheifele<\/a> is off to a fantastic start with eight goals and 13 points. Kyle Connor<\/a> and Josh Morrissey<\/a> have the most assists on the team so far with seven.<\/p>\n

Filip Gustavsson<\/a> is the probable starter for the Wild, who have dropped their last thee games in a row. Minnesota has struggled in recent seasons against rival Winnipeg. Kirill Kaprizov<\/a> is first in assists (9) and points (14) so far this campaign. Karprizov is also tied for first in goals with Matt Boldy<\/a>, as both have five so far this campaign.<\/p>\n

Winnipeg is 3-0 away from the Canada Life Centre and should continue that in this game.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Jets win 4-2.<\/em><\/p>\n

New Jersey Devils vs\u00a0Colorado Avalanche<\/h3>\n

Head-to-Head: Devils 1-0 Avalanche<\/h4>\n

Our last game of NHL predictions has the New Jersey Devils<\/a> going for the season-sweep over the Colorado Avalanche.<\/a> Jacob Markstrom<\/a> is scheduled to make his return to the crease in this game of the Devils. Despite the injuries, New Jersey has won eight consecutive games after dropping the season-opener. Jack Hughes<\/a> is first in goals (8) and points (12) so far this season for the Devils.<\/p>\n

Colorado is expected to go with Scott Wedgewood<\/a> in goal for this game. The Avalanche have dropped the last four games entering this matchup. However, Colorado is still a dangerous squad that can play with the best teams in the league. Nathan MacKinnon<\/a> is first on the Avalanche in goals (7) and points (14) in the early part of this campaign. However, Cale Makar<\/a> is leading in assists with eight.<\/p>\n

The Devils have been red hot, but the Avalanche stop the streak at Ball Arena.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Avalanche win 5-3.<\/em><\/p>\n

We close out NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. Let’s go back to our featured game for our preferred props. The over\/under for the Jets and Wild is 5.5, and we like the over just barely.<\/p>\n
