Los Angeles Kings vs Winnipeg Jets<\/h3>\n

TV:<\/strong> TSN3; Fan Duel Sports West; ESPN+<\/p>\n

We open up NHL predictions with a matinee matchup between the Los Angeles Kings<\/a> and Winnipeg Jets.<\/a> Los Angeles is expected to start Darcy Kuemper<\/a> in between the pipes. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. Four Kings players<\/a> each have two points so far this season. This includes Kevin Fiala<\/a>, Anze Kopitar<\/a>, Quinton Byfield<\/a>, and Andrei Kuzmenko<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Winnipeg is slated to start Connor Hellebuyck<\/a> in the blue paint in this early game. The Jets are coming off a loss to the Dallas Stars<\/a> after seeing their comeback fall short. However, Kyle Connor<\/a> recorded a hat trick in his first game since signing his massive contract extension.<\/p>\n

Remember to set your fantasy lineups early because of the afternoon start time. Winnipeg showed fight after a slow start, but the team has too many injuries.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Kings win 3-2.<\/em><\/p>\n

Toronto Maple Leafs vs Detroit Red Wings<\/h3>\n

2024-25 Season Series: Maple Leafs 3-1 Red Wings<\/h4>\n

Time:<\/strong> 7 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)<\/p>\n

TV:<\/strong> CBC; Sportsnet; Fan Duel Sports Detroit; ESPN+<\/p>\n

Our next game of NHL predictions has the Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a> renewing hostilities with the Detroit Red Wings<\/a>. Anthony Stolarz<\/a> is once again expected to draw into the lineup in goal for Toronto, which beat the rival Montreal Canadiens<\/a> in the season-opener. William Nylander<\/a> is coming off a three-point performance in the victory over the Habs.<\/p>\n

Projections have Cam Talbot<\/a> getting the call in goal for the Red Wings after John Gibson<\/a> was pulled in the season-opener against the Canadiens. Team captain Dylan Larkin<\/a> was the lone goal-scorer for Detroit in the 5-1 defeat to Montreal.<\/p>\n

The Wings will hopefully put up a better effort, but the Maple Leafs looked strong in the first game of the season.<\/p>\n

Prediction; Maple Leafs win 5-2.<\/em><\/p>\n

Vancouver Canucks vs Edmonton Oilers<\/h3>\n

2024-25 Season Series: Canucks 1-2 Oilers<\/h4>\n

Time:<\/strong> 10 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)<\/p>\n

TV:<\/strong> CBC; Sportsnet; CityTV; ESPN+<\/p>\n

Our final game of NHL predictions has the Canucks visiting the Oilers in a Hockey Night in Canada game. Thatcher Demko<\/a> is the expected starter for the Canucks, who beat the Calgary Flames,<\/a> 5-1. Filip Chytil<\/a> scored twice while Kiefer Sherwood<\/a> tallied the season-opening goal for Vancouver.<\/p>\n

Stuart Skinner<\/a> will likely get the start again for Edmonton, which is trying to shake off a 4-3 shootout loss to rival Calgary. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins<\/a> registered a goal and two assists for the Oilers, while Leon Draisaitl<\/a> collected a goal and an assist. Edmonton can’t keep letting games get away and finish off teams when it has the chance.<\/p>\n

Vancouver played with confidence in the opening game. However, Edmonton should bounce back and get the victory.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Oilers win 4-2.<\/em><\/p>\n

Prop Bets of the Night<\/h3>\n

We round out NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. Let’s stay with our featured game for some of our preferred props. A number of sites are giving a 5.5 over\/under number. Take the over with both teams having some capable offensive players,<\/p>\n

As for individual props, go with Elias Pettersson<\/a> (the forward) to get a power-play point for Vancouver. On the Edmonton side, take Connor McDavid<\/a> to get the over on 1.5 assists.<\/p>\n
