Peterka had previously been the subject of many trade rumours, which became reality once the deal was announced. Moreover, the Mammoth are looking to establish themselves in the NHL this season. It will be crucial for Peterka to build chemistry with his new teammates and gain a deeper understanding of Utah’s overall gameplan, something that likely will not happen overnight.

In addition, Peterka will need to learn how to play defence.
