When it comes to hockey in the country that’s the best at hockey, it’s always a big deal. Even on August 1st. You can feel free to disagree, but repeatedly the Team Canada best-on-best men’s senior hockey squad always wins, even after a loss, they come back with a win. Maybe the one exception being at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan. But here we are, in Milan-Cortina d’Ampezzo 2026, Italy<\/a>. The idea is to use some of the existing infrastructure from the 2006 Torino games, but that it not the primary host. Rather, that honour goes to the city being the 1956 Winter Olympic hosts. As you can imagine, they have a lot of history to draw from. So, it makes sense Canada wants to do the same, on the ice.<\/p>\n

Hockey Canada has invited 42 NHL players to orientation camp in preparation for the 2026 Italy Olympics:<\/p>\n
