The New York Rangers have been busy in the first days of free agency. Their latest move brings in a forward who solidifies their bottom-six forward group. Taylor Raddysh<\/a> has signed a two-year, $3 million contract.<\/p>\n

Raddysh Signs With the Rangers<\/h2>\n

Missed this earlier: #NYR<\/a> have signed forward Taylor Raddysh – 2 years x $1.5 million.<\/p>\n

With the Washington Capitals<\/a> last season, Raddysh played in a career-high 80 games. The forward scored seven goals for a Caps team who reached the Stanley Cup Playoffs.<\/p>\n

Raddysh is just three seasons separated from a 20-goal season with the Chicago Blackhawks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rangers Solidify Bottom-Six<\/h3>\n

Raddysh likely will be in the mix for a third-line role with the Rangers when training camp beings. The Rangers need someone to fill the third-line centre spot, with Juuso Parssinen<\/a> and Jonny Brodzinski<\/a> the top contenders right now. That leaves Raddysh in a battle with one of those two for a spot on one of the wings, along with Brennan Othmann<\/a>, Brett Berard<\/a>, Gabe Perreault, and Justin Dowling<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Rangers fourth line, as of now, is likely to feature Sam Carrick<\/a> alongside Matt Rempe<\/a> and Adam Edstrom<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While the Rangers would love to see Raddysh score another 20 goals, they are aware his value can come in other areas. Raddysh is a hard-working forward who is strong on the penalty kill, but can move up the lineup should his team need it.<\/p>\n

Busy Off-Season Continues in New York<\/h3>\n

After missing the playoffs last season, the Rangers are looking to bounce back in 2025-26. The team has made multiple moves already. The biggest so far has been trading<\/a> Chris Kreider<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Rangers are just one season separated from a trip to the Eastern Conference Final. This roster shakeup shows the Rangers are determined to return to playoff contention sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n

It will be interesting to see if the Rangers have any more moves up their sleeves for this summer.<\/p>\n
