Those two teams were the Arizona Coyotes and the Montreal Canadiens. He’s totaled 534 career NHL games, with 105 goals and 144 assists for 249 points. It is also noteworthy that he is a career 13% shooter. Moreover, he’s had varied levels of productivity in his career. He was actually of a half-a-point-a-game pace for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 campaigns.

However, in recent seasons he’s come back to earth somewhat. For instance, in 2024-25, he played 81 games and had 12 goals and 21 assists for 33 points. Still, fairly respectable numbers for a competitive Habs team, one that had many forwards fighting for ice time. Especially so, for ice time in offensive-type situations. That is something that Dvorak doesn’t get much of.

What It Means

He rarely gets out on the power play. Conversely, he was relied on fairly heavily as a penalty killer. This is all the while skating a little over 15 minutes a game. In any case, he’s reliable, with a bit of offence. An excellent depth forward. That is the type of thing he will bring to your lineup.

Dvorak will now get a chance to contribute somewhere. He’s done whatever he’s been asked, but now gets a chance at a new start.

Montreal continues to take its next step in its rebuild. The Habs made the post-season for the first time since the 2021 Stanley Cup Final. It was a good season, but this team is seeking to make a deep run. They aren’t content with just being happy to be there.

Main Photo Credit: Eric Bolte-Imagn Images

Today, in what could perhaps be seen as an underrated move, a depth forward puts pen to paper.
