In his 44 games played with Montr\u00e9al, Juulsen posted two goals and six assists. In January of 2021, he was put on waivers and claimed by the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/category\/panthers\/\" target=\"_self\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Florida Panthers<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Juulsen\u2019s playing time with the Panthers was minimal, only lasting four games due to health and safety protocols as well as injury. Despite this, he signed a one-year, two-way contract with Florida during the 2021 off-season. Only a couple of days before the start of the 2021\u201322 regular season, he and <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/l\/lammiju01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Juho Lammikko<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> were moved to the Canucks in exchange for former fifth-overall pick of the 2016 Draft, <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/j\/juoleol01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Olli Juolevi<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>What It Means<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the 2023\u201324 season, Juulsen played a career-high 54 games for the Canucks. In this span, he scored one goal and six assists. He was on track to play more than the 35 games he slotted in for this season. However, a season-ending lower body injury prevented him from doing so.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Juulsen\u2019s physical playstyle and willingness to hit opponents was something <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2025\/04\/29\/rick-tocchet-leaving-vancouver-canucks\/\" target=\"_self\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">former Canucks Head Coach<\/span><\/a> <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/coaches\/tocchri01c.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rick Tocchet<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> liked, hence his added minutes. Juulsen is often the first defenceman called-up from Vancouver\u2019s AHL affiliate, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2025\/04\/11\/three-players-who-could-make-the-canucks-roster-in-2025-26\/\" target=\"_self\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abbotsford Canucks<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, when injuries come knocking. His experience in the league has helped him gain a step over some of Vancouver\u2019s younger players.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Flyers have made a couple of low-key signings. Juulsen will try to get a chance to prove himself on a new team.
