For this edition, we will look at the\u00a0Dallas Stars<\/a> hosting the Winnipeg Jets<\/a> in this potentially series-clinching Game 6 of their second-round series. NHL Predictions<\/h2>\n

Winnipeg Jets vs Dallas Stars<\/h3>\n

Series Head-to-Head: Jets 2-3 Stars<\/h4>\n

Time:<\/strong> 8 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time<\/p>\n

TV:<\/strong> TVAS, ABC, CBC, Sportsnet, ESPN+<\/p>\n

This round of NHL predictions looks at an important Game 6<\/a> tonight between the Jets and the Stars.<\/a> Winnipeg forced the series back to the United States with Connor Hellebuyck<\/a>‘s second shutout of the series. The Jets goalie has shown flashes of his Vezina Trophy-winning form. However, the Central Division champions will need to another sterling performance to force a winner-take-all Game 7.<\/p>\n

Dallas is looking to book another trip to the Western Conference Final. However, the Stars will need shake off a Game 5 performance that saw them not able to put the puck past Hellebuyck. Dallas still has the series lead, but it wants to win the series to book a date with the Edmonton Oilers.<\/a><\/p>\n

Let’s take a look at the storylines and stats heading into Game 6 in this edition of NHL predictions.<\/p>\n

The Stars Story<\/h4>\n

Jake Oettinger<\/a> has been fairly good this series, but he’ll need some support from the offence if the Stars want to finish things off. Oettinger made 31 saves in Game 5 for Dallas.<\/p>\n

Mikko Rantanen<\/a> has been great all post-season with league’s lead in goals (9) and points (19). Dallas has won all three games where he’s contributed at least a point. The return of Jason Robertson<\/a> has also been a good thing for the Stars.<\/p>\n

The Jets Story<\/h4>\n

It seems that the Jets’ fate has been tied to Hellebuyck so far this series. Both of Winnipeg’s wins have been via shutouts by the former UMass-Lowell product.<\/p>\n

However, the Jets did give Hellebuyck four goals in the last game. Kyle Connor<\/a> has been great this playoff run with 11 assists and 16 points. However, Nikolaj Ehlers<\/a> has given the team another scoring option.<\/p>\n

Prediction<\/h3>\n

Dallas has been pretty solid at bouncing back after losses. Plus, the Stars have the luxury of knowing that head coach Peter DeBoer is 9-0 in Game 7s.<\/p>\n

However, the Stars don’t want to have to go into the Canada Life Centre and deal with such a raucous crowd. Dallas should win a tight one and set up a rematch with Edmonton.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Stars win 3-2.<\/em><\/p>\n

Prop Bets of the Night<\/h3>\n

We close out NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. The over\/under for this Game 6 is 5.5 and we like the under thanks to the capabilities of the two goalies.<\/p>\n

As for individual props, go with Mark Scheifele<\/a> to get a point in this game for the Jets. On the Stars side of things, take Thomas Harley<\/a> to record an assist in this game.<\/p>\n
