While Vegas has already clinched the Pacific Division, Vancouver was eliminated from playoffs last week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Canucks Have Historically Come up Short Against the Golden Knights\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Vancouver has not won a single game against Vegas this season, but their struggles against the Golden Knights exceed just 2024\u201325. All time, the Canucks are 7\u201315\u20132 against the Golden Knights. Their last win against Vegas was on April 8, 2024. In all three of their matchups this season, Vegas has scored three goals. In two of these meetings, Vancouver has only tallied one in each. To end their season with a win, the Canucks will need to focus on putting up more offence.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Vegas is Cruising to End the Season\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Golden Knights enter this matchup against the Canucks with nothing to lose. They clinched the Pacific Division on April 12 against the <\/span>Nashville Predators<\/span><\/a>, which means they\u2019ve already gained home-ice advantage. Their first-round opponent was decided last night, when the St. Louis Blues<\/a> and <\/span>Minnesota Wild<\/span><\/a> both won their playoff-clinching matchups. Vegas also played last night, losing 5-4 in a shootout to the Calgary Flames<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lineup Absences Are a Problem for Both the Golden Knights and the Canucks\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In last night\u2019s match against the<\/span>\u00a0Flames<\/span>, Vegas rested <\/span>Mark Stone<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Jack Eichel<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Alex Pietrangelo<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>Noah Hanifin<\/span><\/a>. Nothing regarding tonight\u2019s lineup has been released yet, though if these players are being rested in preparation for a playoff run, there could be a chance that they also sit out tonight. If this is the case, the team\u2019s highest points-getters will be <\/span>Tom\u00e1\u0161 Hertl<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Shea Theodore<\/span><\/a>. In his career, Hertl has put up 17 goals and 20 assists against the Canucks in 45 games played.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Vancouver, on the other hand, has already ruled out multiple players for the rest of the season. <\/span>Elias Pettersson<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Thatcher Demko<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Tyler Myers<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Derek Forbort<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>Filip Chytil<\/span><\/a> have all been shut down for the year. As a result, many of the Canucks\u2019 <\/span>younger players<\/span><\/a> have taken bigger roles in the lineup. However, all eyes will be on <\/span>Quinn Hughes<\/span><\/a> as he looks to break the franchise record in career points by a defenceman (409). He tied the record on Monday night against the <\/span>San Jose Sharks<\/span><\/a> by helping set up <\/span>Jake DeBrusk<\/span><\/a>\u2019s 2\u20131 overtime winner.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NHL Prediction<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Seeing as the Golden Knights are missing two of their leading scorers in Eichel and Stone, the team\u2019s offence may be limited in tonight\u2019s matchup. Let\u2019s see Vegas go four-for-four with three goals in each game against Vancouver this year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Prop Bet for the Night<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Ivan Barbashev<\/span><\/a> has a goal in each of his two games against the Canucks this season. He has scored three times in his past five games, also adding an assist last night. For Vancouver, it\u2019s hard not to bet on Hughes, especially given the magnitude of his next point.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
