Detroit Red Wings vs Carolina Hurricanes<\/h3>\n

Head-to-Head: Red Wings 0-1 Hurricanes<\/h4>\n

TV: Sportsnet; Fan Duel Sports Detroit; Fan Duel Sports South; ESPN+<\/p>\n

We open up NHL predictions with the Detroit Red Wings<\/a> taking on the Carolina Hurricanes.<\/a> Detroit is expected to start Petr Mrazek<\/a> in between the pipes in this one. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Red Wings are 3-6-1 in the last 10 games, but did get a victory in its last time on ice. Lucas Raymond<\/a> has tallied 22 goals and 46 assists for Detroit.<\/p>\n

Pyotr Kochetkov<\/a> is the probable starter for the Hurricanes, who are 7-3 in the last 10 games. Carolina has also won five straight games prior to this Eastern Conference matchup. \u00a0The Hurricanes have a 12-4-2 record in games decided by a goal. Sebastian Aho<\/a> has been averaging a point a game as of late with six goals and four assists over the last 10 games.<\/p>\n

This is an important game for both teams, but Carolina picks up the win.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Hurricanes win 4-2.<\/em><\/p>\n

Edmonton Oilers vs New York Islanders<\/h3>\n

Head-to-Head: Oilers 1-0 Islanders<\/h4>\n

Time:<\/strong> 7:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)<\/p>\n

TV:<\/strong> SN West; MSGSN; ESPN+<\/p>\n

Our next game of NHL predictions has the Edmonton Oilers<\/a> visiting the New York Islanders<\/a>. Calvin Pickard<\/a> is the projected starter for the Oilers, who are 3-7 in the last 10 games. This includes two straight losses for Edmonton going into this game. Leon Draisaitl<\/a> has been red-hot as of late with seven goals and eight assists over the past 10 games.<\/p>\n

Ilya Sorokin<\/a> is the likely starter for the Islanders, who are 4-6 in the last 10 games. New York is also losers of two consecutive games prior to this one. The Islanders have gone 10-2-1 in games they convert at least one power play. However, that’s not happened a lot this season. Isles captain Anders Lee<\/a> has generated 26 goals and 20 assists for the Islanders.<\/p>\n

Both teams are struggling entering this one, but Edmonton gets by with more firepower.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Oilers win 5-2.<\/p>\n

Colorado Avalanche vs Calgary Flames<\/h3>\n

Head-to-Head: Avalanche 1-0 Flames<\/h4>\n

Time:<\/strong>\u00a09 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)<\/p>\n

TV:<\/strong> SN1; Altitude2; ESPN+<\/p>\n

Our last game<\/a> of NHL predictions has the Avalanche battling the Flames in a key Western Conference game. Colorado is expected to start Mackenzie Blackwood<\/a> in goal for this one. The Avalanche are 7-2-1 in the last 10 games coming into this game. However, Colorado was defeated in its late game out. Cale Makar<\/a> continues to build his Norris Trophy case with 24 goals and 51 assists for the Avalanche.<\/p>\n

Rookie standout Dustin Wolf<\/a> in projected to get the start in this game for the Flames, who are 4-2-4 in the last 10 games prior to this one. Calgary is in a fight for a Stanley Cup Playoff spot with it holding the last wild card spot in the West. Jonathan Huberdeau<\/a> has 24 goals and 24 assists in a rebounding campaign for the Flames.<\/p>\n

These two teams need points, but the Avalanche secure the road win.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Avalanche win 4-3.<\/em><\/p>\n
