We open NHL predictions with the Washington Capitals<\/a> hosting the Detroit Red Wings.<\/a> Cam Talbot<\/a> is the expected starter for the Red Wings. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. Detroit is hitting a rough patch at the wrong time with a 4-5-1 mark in the last 10 games. This also includes four consecutive losses. Alex DeBrincat<\/a> leads the team in goals with 29.<\/p>\n

Logan Thompson<\/a> is the probable starter for Washington, which is 6-3-1 in the last 10 prior to this matchup. Anyone interested in this game should also be aware of possible lineup changes with the trade deadline expiring at 3 p.m. Friday. Alex Ovechkin<\/a> leads the Capitals with 32 as he’s only 10 away from passing Wayne Gretzky<\/a> as the league’s all-time goal king.<\/p>\n

Detroit is struggling and Washington is flying entering this matchup.<\/p>\n

Winnipeg Jets vs New Jersey Devils<\/h3>\n

We have another key matchup in NHL predictions as the Winnipeg Jets<\/a> visit the New Jersey Devils<\/a>. Connor Hellebuyck<\/a> is the likely starter after Eric Comrie<\/a> started the night before. The Jets are back on track and have a 7-2-1 mark in the last stretch of 10 games. Kyle Connor<\/a> leads the club in assists (46) and points (78).<\/p>\n

New Jersey is trying to deal with life without Jack Hughes<\/a> for the rest of the season<\/a>. Jacob Markstrom<\/a> is the probable starter in the crease for the Devils, who are 4-6 in the last 10 games. This also includes a pair of losses prior to this game. Jesper Bratt<\/a> is tops in assists with 53 this season.<\/p>\n

The Devils haven’t given up on the season, but playing the Jets is a tall order.<\/p>\n

Minnesota Wild vs Vancouver Canucks<\/h3>\n

The last game<\/a> of this set of NHL predictions is our featured matchup between the Wild and Canucks. Minnesota is expected to start Filip Gustavsson<\/a> in the blue paint for this one. The Wild are 5-5 in the last 10, but have won two consecutive games. Matt Boldy<\/a> has 21 goals and 32 assists for Minnesota.<\/p>\n

Kevin Lankinen<\/a> is the likely starter for the Canucks, who are on three-game home winning streak. However, Vancouver is 5-4-1 in the last 10 as it looks for consistency. Jake DeBrusk<\/a> has generated 22 goals and 14 assists for the Canucks.<\/p>\n

Both teams are looking for a win, but the Canucks hold serve.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Canucks win 4-3.<\/em><\/p>\n
