Jordan Binnington stopped 25 shots, and Colton Parayko extended his career-best goals total with his 15th.

After Wednesday, the Blues and Kings will meet one more time, which will be on Saturday.

Blues Look to Start a New Streak

The Blues had won four games in a row before their loss on Sunday against the Dallas Stars. It was a sloppy game for the Blue Note. The penalty kill was 0-4. Joel Hofer struggled between the pipes, allowing three goals on nine shots before being pulled. Jordan Kyrou took an ill-time offensive-zone penalty in the third period when the Blues were trailing by a goal. Furthermore, the Stars scored on the ensuing power play to take a two-goal lead.

Despite the ugly game, the Blues enter Los Angeles right in the thick of the playoff chase. The team is feeling confident about where they are as a team. In addition, it seems Doug Armstrong is no longer interested in selling assets this week. If all this is true, the Blues could be a dangerous team during the season’s stretch run. Two valuable points will be on the line on Wednesday. The Blues will look to grab them and then set their sights on the Anaheim Ducks.

Central Division Providing Rough Waters for LA

The Kings are in contention for the Pacific Division title. However, the Central Division is providing the latest roadblock to the team’s accomplishment. The Kings are on a four-game losing streak, with the last three losses coming against Central Division teams. Furthermore, the Kings have lost all three games by a combined score of 15-4. The worst loss came on Sunday against one of the worst teams in the league, the Chicago Blackhawks.

The good news for the Kings is they are returning home for eight of their next ten games. The bad news? Well, four of those games are against those pesky Central Division teams. One of their two road games is against a Central Division team. Now would be a good time for the Kings to figure it out against the Central Division. The alternative is severe damage to their playoff positioning.

Prediction

The Kings will want to get back on the winning track, as well as the Blues. The Kings will be back in front of their home fans, while the Blues will be on the road once again.

This will be a fun game for fans in attendance. Fans of goals will be pleased. We expect a high-scoring game. As far as the winner, we are picking the Blues.

Blues win, 6-4.

Prop Bets

The over/under is set at 5.5 goals. We are taking the over with ten total goals.

For prop bets, we are picking Drew Doughty as an anytime-scorer for the Kings. For the Blues, we are sticking with the theme of choosing a Team Canada player and picking Parayko as an anytime-scorer. Furthermore, we think Parayko will score more than one goal.

Please play responsibly.
