In early December, the Blues returned the favour and beat the Jets in Winnipeg, 4-1.

However, despite only two meetings this season, both teams’ goalies have seen quite a bit of one another this past week. Connor Hellebuyck and Jordan Binnington went toe-to-toe both last Saturday and Thursday. Whether or not we see any of these players moved will be discovered between now and the March 7th Trade Deadline. However, it is clear that the Blues are shifting their focus towards 2025-26.

Jets Look to Hold Division Lead

The Jets resume their season as the leaders in the Central Division. They hold a nine-point lead. If they can hang on to their spot, the team will clinch their second division title in franchise history. The franchise last won the division in the 2006-07 season when they were in Atlanta.

While Hellebuyck may be on his way to a second-straight Vezina Trophy, the Jets offence has been arguably the best story of the team’s season. Mark Scheifele leads the Jets with 31 goals. Furthermore, Kyle Connor has 30 goals, while Gabriel Vilardi will likely hit the 30-goal mark (he currently has 24 goals).

After some unceremonious first-round exits in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Jets are emerging as legitimate Stanley Cup contenders this year.

Prediction

After Binnington and Hellebuyck stole the show in the 4 Nations Face-Off, we think we will see that again on Saturday. We are predicting a 1-0 overtime game. Which goalie gets the shutout? Which goalie is the hard-luck loser? Well, we think the visitors get the two points.

Jets win in overtime, 1-0.

Prop Bets

The over/under for the game has been set at 5.5 goals. We are taking the under by quite a few goals, as we are predicting just a single goal.

For prop bets, we are picking Connor to score his 31st goal. While predicting a shutout for the Jets, we will pick a Blues scorer who will likely light the lamp. That player is Robert Thomas.

Main Photo: Terrence Lee- Imagn Images

Please play responsibly.
