Be sure to check out more NHL Predictions as the 2024-25 season continues.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\">NHL Predictions<\/h2>\n<h3>Montreal Canadiens vs Chicago Blackhawks<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Time:<\/strong> 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST))<\/p>\n<p><strong>TV:<\/strong> TSN2; Chicago Sports Network; ESPN+<\/p>\n<p>We start NHL predictions with our featured game between two &#8220;Original Six&#8221; teams. Montreal will go with confirmed starter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/montesa01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-01-03_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sam Montembeault<\/a> in goal for this one. The Habs are coming into this one on a three-game winning streak. Montreal has also won seven of its last 10 games to put itself back into the Stanley Cup Playoff mix. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/l\/lainepa01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-01-03_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Patrik Laine<\/a> has been a great acquisition with six goals with two assists over the past 10 games.<\/p>\n<p>Petr Mrazek is the expected starter for the Blackhawks, but always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. Chicago is looking to bounce back from a lousy performance in the Winter Classic. The Blackhawks have lost five in a row and are 3-7 in the last 10 games. Teuvo Teravainen has provided one goal and 10 assists over the last 10 games.<\/p>\n<p>The Canadiens have been solid as of late and should get the victory.<\/p>\n<p><em>Prediction: Canadiens win 4-2.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Anaheim Ducks vs Edmonton Oilers<\/h3>\n<h4>Head-to-Head: Ducks 1-0 Oilers<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Time:<\/strong> 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)<\/p>\n<p><strong>TV:<\/strong> SN West; KCOP; ESPN+<\/p>\n<p>The second game of NHL predictions has the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2024\/12\/20\/ducks-veterans-guide-core\/\" target=\"_self\">Anaheim Ducks<\/a> taking on the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2024\/12\/28\/nhl-predictions-dec-28-edmonton-oilers-at-los-angeles-kings\/\" target=\"_self\">Edmonton Oilers<\/a>. Lukas Dostal is the projected starter for the Ducks, who have won three consecutive games. Anaheim is 6-4 in the last 10 games and hasn&#8217;t been a pushover in the most recent stretch. The Ducks won the first meeting of the season, 5-3. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/f\/fabbrro01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-01-03_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Robby Fabbri<\/a> has tallied four goals with four assists over the last 10 games.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/skinnst01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-01-03_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Stuart Skinner<\/a> is the confirmed starter for the Oilers, who are 7-2-1 in the last 10 games. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/d\/draisle01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-01-03_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Leon Draisaitl<\/a> has racked up 27 goals with 29 assists for the Oilers. Edmonton captain <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/mcdavco01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-01-03_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Connor McDavid<\/a> has only two goals, but has distributed 15 assists in the last 10 games.<\/p>\n<p>Anaheim has been better, but Edmonton picks up the win.<\/p>\n<p><em>Prediction: Oilers win 5-2.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Nashville Predators vs Vancouver Canucks<\/h3>\n<h4>Head-to-Head: Predators 1-0 Canucks<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Time:<\/strong> 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)<\/p>\n<p><strong>TV:<\/strong> Fan Duel Sports South; Sportsnet; ESPN+<\/p>\n<p>The <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nhl\/game\/_\/gameId\/401688218\/predators-canucks\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">last game of NHL predictions<\/a> has the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2025\/01\/02\/punishment-announced-for-nashville-predators-forward\/\" target=\"_self\">Nashville Predators<\/a> visiting the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2025\/01\/01\/the-vancouver-canucks-have-roster-options\/\" target=\"_self\">Vancouver Canucks<\/a>. Nashville is likely to go with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/sarosju01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-01-03_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Juuse Saros<\/a> in between the pipes for this game. The Predators have dropped the last three games and are 4-5-1 in the last 10 games. Nashville has been dreadful on the road with a 3-13-4 mark away from home. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/a\/audymjo01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-01-03_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jonathan Marchessault<\/a> has been on fire as of late with nine goals with five assists over the past 10 games.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"KeyPlayersCard__pitcherName--3MR_r\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/l\/lankike01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-01-03_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kevin Lankinen<\/a><\/span> is the expected starter for a Canucks team that&#8217;s 4-3-3 in the last 10. Vancouver did win last time out, but there&#8217;s plenty of drama surrounding the team. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/boesebr01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-01-03_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brock Boeser<\/a> is trying to land a big contract and is making his case with seven goals over the past 10 games.<\/p>\n<p>Nashville did win in Vancouver in the first meeting, but the Canucks get the victory.<\/p>\n<p><em>Prediction: Canucks win 4-3.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Prop Bets of the Night<\/h3>\n<p>We close out NHL predictions with some prop bets for the night. Let&#8217;s go to our featured game for the preferred props of the night.
