Another week in the NHL is about to begin, and managers are preparing for their 2024 Week 13 fantasy hockey matchups. The best strategy to beat your opponent is streaming players and maximizing your games played for the week. Here is an overview of Week 13 along with some of the best streamers available in fantasy leagues this week.<\/p>\n
The week of the Winter Classic<\/a> is also loaded with 51 NHL games. Six teams have good schedules to stream from this week, playing on at least two light days. These teams are the Anaheim Ducks, Chicago Blackhawks, Florida Panthers, Nashville Predators, New York Rangers, and Pittsburgh Penguins.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Streaming players from these teams this week will give fantasy managers the best chance to maximize their total games played and get an advantage in their matchup. Now let\u2019s have a look at some players from these teams to consider adding for Week 13.<\/span><\/p>\n The Ducks are a low-rostered team. Each week when they have a schedule worth streaming from, it is likely you may find some of their top players available. With Frank Vatrano<\/a> now rostered in most leagues, we need to look at other players for streaming success.<\/span><\/p>\n Mason McTavish<\/a> is one of those players. McTavish is having a down year compared to last season. His shot rate and shooting percentage are both lower than they were in 2023-24. He has been playing well lately though, with four points in his last four games. In that span, McTavish has also recorded 14 SOG and seven hits. If he continues to play like this in Week 13, he will be a great streamer to have.<\/span><\/p>\n Troy Terry<\/a> is another player that should be considered for a stream this week. Terry is a player we have previously mentioned as someone to keep an eye on<\/a> when the Ducks have a good streaming schedule. He seems to produce points in bursts of games, including point streaks of four and eight games already this season. With points in each of his last two games, he could continue this streak and be a good pickup if he does.<\/span><\/p>\n Since arriving in Anaheim, Jacob Trouba<\/a> has been doing what fantasy managers have been expecting him to do, hit and block. Trouba\u2019s hit and block rates have both significantly increased since being dealt by the Rangers<\/a>. While continuing to play over 20 minutes per game, Trouba\u2019s play style offers a safe floor in fantasy hockey. If you need a defenceman this week in a banger or category league, consider picking up Jacob Trouba.<\/span><\/p>\n Last season, it took Bertuzzi a while to settle in as a new member<\/a> of the Toronto Maple Leafs. This season, it hasn\u2019t been a smooth transition<\/a> to the Chicago Blackhawks either. However, fresh off a head coach change<\/a>, Bertuzzi\u2019s play in December is showing positive signs for the rest of the season.<\/span><\/p>\n Playing below his expectations in October and November, Bertuzzi improved his play in December. Two key contributors to this are his increased SOG and hit rates. In November, Bertuzzi had 11 SOG in 12 games. So far this month, Bertuzzi has more than doubled his SOG total from last month.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Additionally, Bertuzzi is getting premium deployment<\/a> alongside Connor Bedard at even strength and the first power play unit. With games on the Friday and Sunday light days this week, Bertuzzi is a great add for the weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n Last week<\/a>, we mentioned Michael Bunting<\/a> as a player to add for the weekend. With three points in the Pens\u2019 two-weekend games, including two power play goals, Bunting\u2019s hot play continued and is worth keeping around for Week 13.<\/span><\/p>\n We briefly touched on Rickard Rakell as well last week. At 68% rostered on Fantrax<\/a>, this may be your last opportunity to add Rakell.
