Each day,\u00a0Last Word on Hockey<\/em>\u00a0takes a look at the games that are happening and gives our predictions for each one, breaking down head-to-head matchups and other factors that may play in. We also have a featured game of the day, which is considered must-watch TV. Today\u2019s featured game is the Boston Bruins<\/a> vs Chicago Blackhawks<\/a>. NHL Predictions<\/h2>\n

Boston Bruins vs Chicago Blackhawks<\/h3>\n

Time:<\/strong> 7:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)<\/p>\n

TV:<\/strong> TNT; TruTV; Chicago Sports Network; Max<\/p>\n

Our first and featured game has the Bruins visiting the Blackhawks. Boston is expected to go with Jeremy Swayman<\/a> in between the pipes. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Bruins have won two straight games and are 5-4-1 in the last 10 games. David Pastrnak<\/a> is leading the club in goals (9), assists (15) and points (24) so far this season.<\/p>\n

Petr Mrazek<\/a><\/span> is the projected starter for the Blackhawks, who have dropped the last three games and are 3-6-1 in the last 10. Ryan Donato<\/a> leads the club in goals with 10, but Connor Bedard<\/a> is tops in assists (14) and points (19). The Blackhawks are 5-6-2 when they serve more penalty minutes than their opposition.<\/p>\n

Boston has been playing better while Chicago has been floundering.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Bruins win 5-2.<\/em><\/p>\n

Nashville Predators vs Toronto Maple Leafs<\/h3>\n

Time:<\/strong> 7:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)<\/p>\n

TV:<\/strong> Sportsnet; Fan Duel Sports South; ESPN+<\/p>\n

Our second game of NHL predictions has the Nashville Predators<\/a> taking on the Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a>. Juuse Saros<\/a> is the expected starter for the Predators, who have lost four straight games and are 2-3-5 in the last 10. Roman Josi<\/a> has been one of the bright spots with seven goals and 15 assists for the Predators. Steven Stamkos<\/a> are starting to heat up with three goals and two assists in the last 10.<\/p>\n

Anthony Stolarz<\/a> is the likely starter for the Maple Leafs, who are 8-2 in the last 10 and have taken the last two games. William Nylander<\/a> is red-hot to start the season with has 15 goals and 11 assists for the Maple Leafs. Mitch Marner<\/a> has picked up the slack in a contract year with seven goals and 10 assists in the past 10 games.<\/p>\n

Nashville’s season of great expectations is continuing to suffer and it won’t get easier against Toronto.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Maple Leafs win 5-3.<\/em><\/p>\n

Vegas Golden Knights vs Anaheim Ducks<\/h3>\n

Head-to-Head: Golden Knights 2-0 Ducks<\/h4>\n

Time:<\/strong> 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)<\/p>\n

TV:<\/strong> KCOP; Scripps Vegas; ESPN+<\/p>\n

Our final game of NHL predictions has the Vegas Golden Knights<\/a> visiting the Anaheim Ducks<\/a>. Ilya Samsonov<\/a> is the likely starter after Vegas played the night before. The Golden Knights have a 6-3-1 mark in the last 10 games and are coming off a 1-0 shutout of the Edmonton Oilers<\/a>. Ivan Barbashev<\/a> has 13 goals and 15 assists for 28 points while Jack Eichel<\/a> has racked up 11 points in the last 10 games.<\/p>\n

Lukas Dostal<\/a> is the expected starter for the Ducks, who are also 6-3-1 in the last 10. This team spreads around the scoring as Frank Vatrano<\/a> has totaled scored six goals with six assists for the Ducks. Young forward Cutter Gauthier<\/a> has three goals and three assists over the past 10 games.<\/p>\n

Anaheim may be able to catch Vegas coming off a back-to-back, but the visitors scratch out a win.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Golden Knights win 4-2.<\/em><\/p>\n

Prop Bets of the Night<\/h3>\n

We close out NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. In the second game, go with Auston Matthews<\/a> to tally for the Leafs. He’s getting +110 at FanDuel<\/a>. For Nashville, go with Filip Forsberg<\/a> to have a multiple-point night at +300 also on FanDuel.<\/p>\n
