Dallas Stars at Los Angeles Kings<\/h3>\n

This highly anticipated Western Conference showdown features the fourth and fifth seeds in action on national television.\u00a0 The Kings and Stars meet in Los Angeles for the first time this season.\u00a0 A big two points will be on the line between these playoff teams.\u00a0 Here’s how they’ll match up against each other.<\/p>\n

Similarities, Similarities<\/h4>\n

The Kings and Stars had a very similar final week of November.\u00a0 The Kings played four games.\u00a0 They lost to a last-placed division rival in the San Jose Sharks<\/a>.\u00a0 Afterwards, the team hit its stride winning three games straight.<\/p>\n

Similarly, on Wednesday the Stars lost to the last-placed team in their division in the Chicago Blackhawks<\/a>.\u00a0 After the loss, Dallas also went on to win three straight games.\u00a0 Interestingly, both teams beat the NHL first-placed Winnipeg Jets<\/a> on their win streaks.<\/p>\n

Both Los Angeles and Dallas bring three-game win streaks into the game tonight.\u00a0 If Dallas wins the game, they stay ahead of the Kings in the Western Conference standings.\u00a0 If Los Angeles wins in regulation, they can move ahead of Dallas in the standings.\u00a0 The Kings sit just two points out of first place in the Pacific Division.\u00a0 The Dallas Stars are four points out of first in the Central Division.\u00a0 The similar situations and closeness in the standings make this game an equally important one for each team.<\/p>\n

Lineups<\/h4>\n

Matt Duchene<\/a> leads his Stars teams in goals, assists and points.\u00a0 Kopitar is the leader of the Kings in assists and points.\u00a0 Winger Adrian Kempe<\/a> leads the Kings in goals.<\/p>\n

Dallas will have an advantage in the goalie department.\u00a0 Jake Oettinger<\/a> is one of the league’s best and continues to put up good numbers this year.\u00a0 Los Angeles has three goalies who could get the start.\u00a0 David Rittich<\/a> has carried the majority of the workload during Darcy Kuemper<\/a>‘s stint on the injured reserve.\u00a0 Erik Portillo<\/a> picked up his first career win against the Anaheim Ducks<\/a> last Friday, but the Kings would probably prefer not to start him against a powerful Stars team.\u00a0 In addition, Darcy Kuemper should be back from his injury soon and has been seen practicing with the team.<\/p>\n

Prediction<\/h3>\n

Both teams will look to extend their winning streak.\u00a0 Los Angeles could definitely take this game if they play well at home, and play the Stars as strongly as they did against Winnipeg.\u00a0 However, the Stars have won the last four games against the Kings and eight of the last ten.\u00a0 Additionally, they have won the past two games at Crypto.Com Arena. For this reason, the Stars are the favourites to win.<\/p>\n

Prediction:\u00a0Dallas Stars over Los Angeles Kings 4-2<\/em><\/p>\n

Prop Bets<\/h3>\n

Adrian Kempe is always a good bet.\u00a0 FanDuel Sportsbook<\/a> has him at +210 to score tonight.\u00a0 The Swedish Winger leads both teams in goals.\u00a0 Jason Robertson<\/a> has been quiet to start the season for Dallas, scoring only five goals.\u00a0 The California-born Star is always a threat to score against Los Angeles, recording five goals in eight games.\u00a0 FanDuel Sportsbook has him at +280 to score.<\/p>\n
