As a Star, the right wing played in 48 games with minimal production. That&#8217;s not much to put on the resume. However, the only other player to <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/teams\/DAL\/numbers.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wear<\/a> the No. 51 sweater for Dallas was forward Fredrik Karlsstrom, who has only appeared in eight NHL games.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Overall, MacLean played in 1,154 games and lasted 18 years in the league, with his best season coming in 1988-89. He also won a Stanley Cup with New Jersey in 1995 and was nominated twice for the Selke Trophy.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">#<strong>52 &#8211; Never been worn<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">#<strong>53 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/j\/johnswy01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-08-17_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wyatt Johnston<\/a> (Forward)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wyatt Johnston and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/polakvo01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-08-17_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vojtech Polak<\/a> are the only players to don 53 in Dallas. Johnston has quickly made it his own by bursting onto the scene as a budding star during his first two pro seasons. The 21-year-old has 106 points in 164 NHL games and has already climbed his way onto Dallas&#8217; top lines.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was named to the 2022-23 NHL All-Rookie team after tallying the franchise&#8217;s 19th-best <a  href=\"https:\/\/records.nhl.com\/dal\/records\/skater-records\/scoring-by-a-rookie\/most-points-rookie-one-season\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rookie season<\/a> in terms of points and has a bright future as one of the leaders of the Stars going forward.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">#<strong>54 &#8211; Never been worn<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">#<strong>55 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/gonchse01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-08-17_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sergei Gonchar<\/a> (Defenceman)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gonchar was one of the elite defencemen of the 2000s &#8212; appearing in over 1,300 NHL games in 20 seasons. Only 79 of those were with Dallas, yet he is easily the best candidate to represent No. 55 on this list.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gonchar was a four-time All-Star with 12 Norris Trophy nominations and won a Stanley Cup with Pittsburgh in 2009. He was one of the best defencemen of his era and possibly league history.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">#<strong>56 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/z\/zubovse01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-08-17_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sergei Zubov<\/a> (Defenceman)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zubov is and always will be the only No.56 the <a  href=\"https:\/\/records.nhl.com\/dal\/franchises\/dallas-stars\/history\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Stars<\/a> will have. The Hall-of-Famer was tremendous for Dallas during his 12-year tenure and had his number retired in January 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over the course of his career, Zubov was also nominated for 12 Norris Trophies, won two Stanley Cups, and was a tremendous asset offensively, especially in the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2024\/07\/20\/dallas-stars-playoff-success-helps-to-attract-players\/\" target=\"_self\">playoffs<\/a> and on the power play. He remains one of Dallas&#8217;<a  href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/teams\/DAL\/leaders_career.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> all-time leaders<\/a> in points and assists.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">#<strong>57 &#8211; Never Been Worn<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">#<strong>58 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/bennjo01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-08-17_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jordie Benn<\/a> (Defenceman)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are only two players to choose from here. The older brother of long-time captain <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/bennja01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-08-17_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jamie Benn<\/a> left less of an imprint during his time in Dallas. Still, Jordie lasted 12 years in the NHL, with the first six coming in Dallas. His best year was during the 2013-14 season.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">#<strong>59 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/v\/vishniv01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-08-17_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ivan Vishnevskiy<\/a> (Defenceman)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vishnevskiy is the only player to ever<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2024\/07\/19\/nhl-sweaters-the-best-and-worst-of-the-dallas-stars\/\" target=\"_self\"> wear<\/a> 59 for the Dallas Stars. He appeared in five games between 2008 and 2010 and had two points. He was later traded to Atlanta as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/l\/lehtoka01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-08-17_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kari Lehtonen<\/a> deal. Atlanta shipped him to Chicago the following summer for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/l\/laddan01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-08-17_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Andrew Ladd<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">#<strong>60 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/r\/roussan01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-08-17_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Antoine Roussel<\/a> (Forward)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Roussel and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/d\/dellaty01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-08-17_hr\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ty Dellandrea<\/a> are the only ones who have worn No. 60. Things never worked out for Dellandrea in Dallas, while Roussel spent the majority of his decade-long career with the Stars. He appeared in 413 games with Dallas and accumulated 141 points.
