Carrier has spent the last seven seasons with the Vegas Golden Knights. The Golden Knights selected Carrier from the Buffalo Sabres in the 2017 Expansion Draft<\/a>. This made Carrier one of the original Golden Knights.<\/p>\n
Carrier scored a career-high 16 goals in the 2022-23 season. The forward scored six points in the playoffs as the Golden Knights won the Stanley Cup<\/a>.<\/p>\n
Carrier is the second “original misfit” to leave the Golden Knights. Johnathan Marchessault, the Conn Smythe winner from the Stanley Cup run, signed a contract with the Nashville Predators.<\/p>\n
Role With The Hurricanes<\/h3>\n
Carrier is a physical player who can play on the offensive and defensive sides of the ice. Part of what makes Carrier successful on both sides of the ice is his forechecking ability.<\/p>\n
It is unknown at this time which line Carrier will play on or his line mates will be. However, it is clear that the Hurricanes are hoping Carrier can be a piece of the puzzle that results in a Stanley Cup Championship.<\/p>\n
