The Boston Bruins<\/a> are experiencing tough times with injuries in the recent days and week. Adding to all of their injury woes, the Bruins will be without defenceman Torey Krug<\/a><\/strong>. Krug suffered\u00a0an upper-body injury in a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets<\/a> on Tuesday night. He is not feeling great and will not play tomorrow night when the Bruins visit the Winnipeg Jets<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Torey Krug Out For the Boston Bruins<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Torey Krug has already missed 11 games during the current season because of injuries. In his 59 games with the Bruins, the 27-year-old defenceman has collected six goals and 42 assists for 48 points. Krug has been a near point-per-game producer and the main catalyst on the Bruins power play. His injury should not be a long-term one, although he will miss the upcoming game for Boston.<\/p>\n

The Bruins will have to adjust on their recent injury plague. They lost defenceman Matt Grzelcyk<\/a><\/strong> on Sunday in a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins<\/a> and now Krug on Tuesday. Both Grzelcyk and Krug are left-handed blueliners. In addition to that, the Bruins are missing defenceman Kevan Miller<\/a><\/strong>, who is expected to miss at least the next three weeks with his upper-body injury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Boston Bruins Hit With Large Injury Bug<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In a game in Columbus versus the Blue Jackets, the Bruins were missing Jake Debrusk<\/a><\/strong>, Marcus Johansson<\/a><\/strong>, Kevan Miller, David Pastrnak<\/a><\/strong> and Matt Grzelcyk. Add Torey Krug to that list as well. Marcus Johansson has missed<\/a> the past four games for the Bruins and will miss at least the next week. Jake DeBrusk was skating today and should return to the Bruins lineup soon.<\/p>\n

Grzelcyk received good news from his MRI tests<\/a> from Tuesday in Boston and should be back in the Bruins lineup next week. In consequence of all these injuries, defenceman Steven Kampfer<\/a> has made his first appearance in the Bruins uniform since December. The Bruins recalled defenceman Connor Clifton<\/a><\/strong> and forward Paul Carey<\/a><\/strong> from the Providence Bruins. They also sent Peter Cehlarik<\/a><\/strong> to the AHL.<\/p>\n

Connor Clifton already skated in nine games with the Bruins earlier this season and he bettered his impression with six goals and 27 points in 53 games in the AHL. Recently, Clifton has been the best defenceman in Providence. He will be the Bruins fourth right-handed defenceman on the current healthy roster.<\/p>\n

Paul Carey has played five games with the Ottawa Senators<\/a> earlier this season before getting traded to Boston for defenceman Cody Goloubef<\/a>. Carey has recorded 14 goals and 20 points in his 21 starts in Providence in the AHL. Both Clifton and Carey will be part of the Bruins lineup on Thursday night in Winnipeg.<\/p>\n
