On the other side of this matchup, the New York Rangers<\/a> (24-8-1) have emerged as a serious contender for the Stanley Cup following a disappointing end to last season. The Rangers stacked their roster at the trade deadline and fell to the New Jersey Devils<\/a> in seven games in round one. As for the Lightning penalty kill, it has seen regression since the start of the year.
