This round of NHL Predictions will help condense the slate into three best bets and one prop bet of the night.<\/em><\/p>\n

NHL Predictions<\/h2>\n

Detroit Red Wings vs Montreal Canadiens<\/h3>\n

Head-to-Head: Red Wings 0-1 Canadiens<\/h4>\n

TV:<\/strong> Bally Sports Detroit; Sportsnet East; CityTV; TVAS; ESPN+<\/p>\n

Our opening game of NHL predictions has the Detroit Red Wings<\/a> taking on the Montreal Canadiens<\/a>. Ville Husso<\/a><\/span> is the projected starter in goal, but always check social media<\/a> before locking in a fantasy goalie. Dylan Larkin<\/a> may not be in the lineup as he’s dealing with a personal situation. This may open up a spot for Patrick Kane<\/a> to make his season debut. The Wings do have wins in four of their last five games.<\/p>\n

Newly-extended<\/a> goalie Sam Montembeault<\/span> is the expected starter for the Canadiens tonight. Montreal has lost two of the last three games, but have been a thorn in many teams side. The Habs have been a pain in the backside of the Red Wings the last few seasons. Cole Caufield<\/a> leads in goals (7) and assists (12) for the club.<\/p>\n

The added dynamic of Kane possibly being in the lineup could add a dimension. However, Larkin not being in the lineup cold be a problem.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Canadiens win 4-3.<\/em><\/p>\n

Boston Bruins vs Toronto Maple Leafs<\/h3>\n

Head-to-Head: Bruins 1-0 Maple Leafs<\/h4>\n

TV:<\/strong> CBC; NESN; NHL Network<\/p>\n

Our featured game of NHL predictions has the Boston Bruins<\/a> battling the Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a>. Boston has won two straight and will likely go with Linus Ullmark<\/a> in between the pipes. David Pastrnak<\/a> has 13 goals and 20 assists to lead in both categories. The Bruins are also relatively healthy and have pretty much a complete lineup.<\/p>\n

That’s not the case for the Leafs, who are battling a ton of injuries on defence. Joseph Woll<\/a> will draw the start for Toronto, who bounced back with a 3-0 win over the San Jose Sharks<\/a> last time out. Toronto can score goals with Auston Matthews<\/a> and William Nylander<\/a>, but the defence needs a ton of help.<\/p>\n

The Leafs can score, but the Bruins are carding a strong lineup.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Bruins win 4-1.<\/em><\/p>\n

Vancouver Canucks vs Calgary Flames<\/h3>\n

Head-to-Head: Canucks 0-1 Flames<\/h4>\n

TV:<\/strong> CBC; ESPN+<\/p>\n

Our last game of NHL predictions has the Vancouver Canucks<\/a> taking on the Calgary Flames.<\/a> Thatcher Demko<\/a> is the projected starter for the Canucks, who have been hot-and-cold as of late. Vancouver has lost three of its last five games and the offence has struggled in the losses. The Canucks still boast plenty of top scorers like Quinn Hughes<\/a>, Brock Boeser<\/a> and Elias Pettersson<\/a>. The team is still first in goals for.<\/p>\n

Jacob Markstrom<\/a> is the expected starter in goal for the Flames, who have won two straight. Calgary is slowly rising up the standings and quieting down a nervous fan base. There’s still plenty of inconsistency with the team. However, Calgary has been playing better as of late. The team’s power play is 29th and will have to perform better to keep the momentum.<\/p>\n

Vancouver is looking to get back on track and knows a win here can do that.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Canucks win 4-2.<\/em><\/p>\n

Prop Bet of the Night<\/h3>\n

Let’s go to the Chicago Blackhawks versus Winnipeg Jets for our prop of the day. Connor Bedard<\/a> has been dealing with a lot of stuff in the media, but we feel he’ll channel that onto the ice. We like Bedard will go over on 0.5 points.<\/p>\n
