Welcome back to another day of NHL Predictions. Each day, Last Word on Hockey takes a look at the games that are happening and gives our predictions for each one, breaking down head-to-head and other factors that may play in. We also have a featured game of the day, which is considered must-watch TV. Today\u2019s featured game is the Los Angeles Kings<\/a> vs Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a>.\u00a0Be sure to check out more NHL predictions in the coming days.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Kings vs Toronto Maple Leafs<\/h3>\n

Head-to-Head: Kings 0-0 Maple Leafs<\/h4>\n

Our first and featured game of NHL predictions is a spooky one as the Kings take on the Leafs. Los Angeles will likely go with Cam Talbot<\/a>, but always check social media<\/a> before locking in a fantasy goalie choice. The Kings had lost to the Vegas Golden Knights<\/a> in their last out. Los Angeles had won three of its last five games before that defeat. Trevor Moore<\/a> has five goals while Kevin Fiala<\/a> has already dished out 10 assists. The Kings are third in the league in goals scored with 35.<\/p>\n

Joseph Woll<\/a> is the confirmed starter for the Leafs, who are coming off a loss to the Nashville Predators<\/a> in overtime. Toronto had won three straight games before that setback. Auston Matthews<\/a> got back on the scoresheet and leads the club with seven goals this campaign. John Tavares<\/a> has four goals and seven assists for 11 points this season. Toronto is fifth in converting on the power play, but 26th on the penalty kill.<\/p>\n

Special teams will tell the story, but the Leafs should bounce back in a close one against the Kings.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Leafs win 4-3.<\/em><\/p>\n

Nashville Predators vs Vancouver Canucks<\/h3>\n

Head-to-Head: Predators 0-1 Canucks<\/h4>\n

TV:<\/strong> Bally Sports South; Sportsnet One<\/p>\n

Our last game of tonight’s two-game Halloween slate has the Predators taking on the Vancouver Canucks. The two teams met once already with the Canucks winning, 3-2, one week ago. Thatcher Demko<\/a> is the probable starter for the Canucks, who were beaten by the New York Rangers in overtime on Saturday night. Elias Pettersson<\/a> is trying to earn that mega-contract with 11 assists and Brock Boeser<\/a> has six goals so far.<\/p>\n

Juuse Saros<\/a> is the likely starter for the Predators, who have wins in three of the last five. Nashville has been a pleasant surprise this season under new head coach Andrew Brunette<\/a>. Tommy Novak has four goals while Filip Forsberg<\/a> has six assists for the club. Both teams are in the top 10 when it comes to goals against.<\/p>\n

This will be a tight one, but Vancouver rebounds in this one.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Canucks win 3-2.<\/em><\/p>\n
