NHL Predictions<\/h2>\n

Washington Capitals vs Ottawa Senators<\/h3>\n

Head-to-Head: Capitals 0-0 Senators<\/h4>\n

Our opening game of NHL predictions is a battle of North American capital cities. The Washington Capitals<\/a> are projected to go with Darcy Kuemper<\/a> in goal again. However, always check<\/a> social media before locking in a fantasy starter. Washington got on the winning track with a 3-2 win over the Calgary Flames<\/a> in a shootout. Alex Ovechkin<\/a> is still trying to get on the board this season in his quest to get Wayne Gretzky<\/a>‘s goal record.<\/p>\n

Anton Forsberg<\/a> is the likely starter for the Ottawa Senators,<\/a> who have won two straight. Brady Tkachuk<\/a> has four goals already this season and the Senators look like a threat to score plenty of goals. Josh Norris may also come back into the lineup for Ottawa and he would be a big boost. After a season-opening loss, the Senators look solid so far.<\/p>\n

A good prop bet for tonight may be Ovechkin getting a goal tonight. It’s worth a play, but Ottawa gets the win.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Senators win 5-3.<\/em><\/p>\n

Pittsburgh Penguins vs Detroit Red Wings<\/h3>\n

Head-to-Head: Penguins 0-0 Red Wings<\/h4>\n

TV:<\/strong> TNT; Max<\/p>\n

Our final and featured games has the Penguins taking on the Red Wings. Pittsburgh is looking to Tristan Jarry<\/a> in all likelihood in goal. The Penguins offence has picked up steam since the opening-nigh loss to the Chicago Blackhawks. Sidney Crosby<\/a> continues to defy time with three goals so far this season. Jake Guentzel<\/a> has six points, including five assists already this campaign.<\/p>\n

Ville Husso<\/a> will get the call for the Red Wings in net. Detroit’s offence has also gotten warm after opening-night problems. The Red Wings boast the top-rated power-play early in this season. Alex DeBrincat<\/a> has a trio of goals this season for the Wings while J.T. Compher<\/a> has three assists. The new acquisitions for general manger Steve Yzerman<\/a> have done well so far.<\/p>\n

This could be a good one, but the Penguins experience will get them through.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Penguins win 4-3.<\/em><\/p>\n
