Tampa Bay and Toronto both boast scoring depth.<\/p>\n<p>The Bruins are very top-heavy with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/bergepa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Patrice Bergeron<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/marchbr03.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brad Marchand<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/pastrda01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">David Pastrnak<\/a><\/strong>, but the talent drops off after that. Boston would do well to snag one of the available forwards, but the asking price will be high.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Philadelphia Flyers<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><em>Rumour: Frank Seravalli of TSN said that Flyers\u2019 general manager Chuck Fletcher said that he\u2019s engaged in talks to deal <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/simmowa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wayne Simmonds<\/a>.<\/strong> Fletcher wanted to wait and give Philly a chance to get back into contention.<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Flyers?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#Flyers<\/a> GM Chuck Fletcher has now engaged in trade talks for Wayne Simmonds today. He\u2019d been waiting until the last moment before deadline to give his team every chance to claw back in the race.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Frank Seravalli (@frank_seravalli) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/frank_seravalli\/status\/1099842127385821184?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">February 25, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><em>Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic and TSN said the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/predators\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nashville Predators<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/jets\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Winnipeg Jets<\/a> and Tampa Bay <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pierrevlebrun\/status\/1099842745051566081?s=12&amp;fbclid=IwAR0Ru3XL7GEmHX_HttBqSfEOC7qUtFBAPGnVS_dLSIHHfs3oK_QDu5_PDjU\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">have expressed interest in the veteran forward<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Analysis: Fletcher did everything he could to give the Flyers time to get back in the race. The Flyers won eight in a row and earned points in 10 straight, but have fallen off the pace.<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully Fletcher didn\u2019t put himself in a bad position where he won\u2019t get the best deal possible. The deadline can force a lot of general manager\u2019s hands.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Chicago Blackhawks<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><em>Rumour: Scott Powers of The Athletic said the Chicago Blackhawks <a href=\"https:\/\/theathletic.com\/834217\/2019\/02\/23\/powers-what-im-hearing-about-the-blackhawks-trade-deadline\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">won\u2019t be looking to make a big deal<\/a>, but could make a few minor moves at the deadline. These moves could be setting up for a look at the future.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Chicago has players like <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/keithdu01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Duncan Keith<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/seabrbr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brent Seabrook<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/a\/anisiar01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Artem Anisimov<\/a> <\/strong>and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kunitch01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Chris Kunitz<\/strong><\/a> that that aren\u2019t interested in being dealt and have some type of no-trade clause. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/haydejo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>John Hayden<\/strong><\/a> is also being shopped while<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=gustaer02,gustaer01&amp;search=Erik+Gustafsson&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Erik Gustafsson<\/a><\/strong> has been asked about, but Chicago doesn\u2019t want to move him.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Analysis: The Blackhawks have managed to make a run, but it may be too little, too late. Chicago does have a glut of defencemen in the organization. It would make sense for Stan Bowman to clear some room in the organization.<\/p>\n<p>It does hurt that Chicago can\u2019t seem to unload their albatross contracts and that may hamper the team\u2019s ability to streamline in its quest to retrn to the post-season.<\/p>\n<h2>Detroit Red Wings<\/h2>\n<p><em>Rumour: Ted Kulfan of The Detroit News said that goaltender<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/howarja02.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jimmy Howard<\/a><\/strong> is likely to stay put at the trade deadline.<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Jimmy Howard isn&#39;t likely to be traded by tomorrow afternoon&#8230;But if there is a sleeper playoff contending team who could suddenly use a goalie, it&#39;s these San Jose Sharks.
