Gone are goaltender <strong>Michael McNiven<\/strong> (MTL); forwards <strong>Sam Steel<\/strong> (Ana); and <strong>Zach Senyshyn<\/strong> (Bos); along with\u00a0defencemen <strong>Guillaume Brisebois<\/strong> (Van) and <strong>Samuel Girard<\/strong> (Nas). The most surprising cut was Steel, who has been excellent in the WHL this season.<\/p>\n<h2>Canada Makes Final Cuts, World Junior Team Named<\/h2>\n<p>This leaves the roster at 22 players. It is possible that NHL teams could make available a junior aged prospect to Hockey Canada before the NHL&#8217;s Monday Roster freeze. However, TSN insider Bob McKenzie indicates that this is not likely to happen. Canada was looking to get one of <strong>Jacob Chychrun<\/strong> (Ari), <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/crousla01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lawson Crouse<\/a><\/strong> (Ari), <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/marnemi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mitch Marner<\/a><\/strong> (Tor), <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/konectr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Travis Konecny<\/a><\/strong> (Phi) or <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/beauvan01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Anthony Beauvillier<\/a><\/strong> (NYI). \u00a0As a result, this looks like Canada&#8217;s team when they open the official Tournament on Boxing Day in Toronto.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Team CAN &#8220;officially&#8221;
