Today we break down rumours surrounding the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/maple-leafs\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/bruins\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Boston Bruins<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/red-wings\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Detroit Red Wing<\/a>s.<\/p>\n<p>All NHL trade rumours are taken from the original source and are subject to change.<\/p>\n<h1>NHL Trade Rumours<\/h1>\n<h2>Toronto Maple Leafs<\/h2>\n<p><em>Rumour: Sportsnet\u2019s <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kypreni01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nick Kypreos<\/a> <\/strong>said on the Fan 590 that an extension for defenceman <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/gardija01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jake Gardiner<\/a> <\/strong>is unlikely. He\u2019s either speculated on his way out of town at the deadline or in free agency. An extension doesn\u2019t seem to be in the cards for him.<\/p>\n<p>However, the spectre of the impending<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/marnemi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mitch Marner<\/a> <\/strong>deal is thing that will likely make Gardiner the odd man out. There\u2019s a high-risk that Panarin would leave the Bruins in the off-season. Some of the names tossed about are <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/f\/ferlami01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Micheal Ferland<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/simmowa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wayne Simmonds<\/a> <\/strong>and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/coylech01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Charlie Coyle<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Detroit Red Wings<\/h2>\n<p><em>Rumour: Ansar Khan of MLive.com said that the Detroit Red Wings <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlive.com\/redwings\/2019\/02\/red-wings-aiming-to-sign-some-free-agents-before-trade-deadline.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">may sign unrestricted free agents<\/a> <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/howarja02.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jimmy Howard<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/n\/nyquigu01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gustav Nyquist<\/a> <\/strong>and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/j\/jenseni02.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nick Jensen<\/a><\/strong> if general manager <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/hollake01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ken Holland<\/strong><\/a> can\u2019t trade them at the deadline.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Analysis: Detroit has seven impending free agents, but Howard, Nyquist and Jensen do hold value. The Red Wings are in the middle of a rebuild are looking for picks, prospects and young players to move that along.<\/p>\n<p>Howard is 34 years old, but goalies are always a commodity for teams looking to make a playoff push. Nyquist has 13 goals this season and would be an asset to any team looking for secondary scoring.<\/p>\n<p>However, Detroit would be alright with keeping these players.
