There was a scary incident at the Prudential Center<\/strong> tonight during the New Jersey Devils<\/strong> versus Vancouver Canucks<\/strong> game. \u00a0Canucks defenseman Philip Larsen<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0was skating around the boards behind the net with his head down where he was hit hard by Devils forward Taylor Hall<\/a><\/strong>. \u00a0Larsen was knocked out cold and immediately fell backwards onto the ice.<\/p>\n

Vancouver Canucks Philip Larsen Stretchered Off Ice<\/h2>\n

The hit drew players from both teams to fly down ice to the spot of the hit, where they began going after Hall and each other in retaliation for the hit. \u00a0All while this was going on, the unconscious Larsen laid on the ice, being bumped into and slightly stepped on by the players in the scrum. \u00a0The gathering was soon broken up and a medical team stormed the ice with a stretcher. \u00a0Larsen was strapped in and immediately taken to a local hospital. \u00a0Teammates Henrik Sedin<\/a><\/strong> and Brandon Sutter<\/a><\/strong> helped lift the stretcher of their injured teammate. \u00a0arsen was awake and responsive and had movement in some extremities while he was leaving the ice. \u00a0No other details have been released regarding Larsen’s injury, yet.<\/p>\n

Larsen appeared to have some movement of his extremities as he was taken off the ice on a stretcher.<\/p>\n
