There is no timetable for his return.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">INJURY UPDATE: Randy Carlyle said Rickard Rakell \u201ctweaked his ankle\u201d and is not available for tonight\u2019s game. There is no specific timetable for his return.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Anaheim Ducks (@AnaheimDucks) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AnaheimDucks\/status\/1071121306580484096?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">December 7, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h1>Rickard Rakell Injured<\/h1>\n<p>According to the Ducks, Rakell tweaked his ankle during Wednesday&#8217;s game and did not practice today. He was seen leaving the arena in a walking boot.<\/p>\n<p>So far this season,\u00a0Rakell has scored five goals and 15 assists for 20 points to go along with six minutes in penalties in 30 games played. His possession numbers were 48.4 percent Corsi-For and a relative Corsi of +5.1.<\/p>\n<p>Rakell has spent his entire seven-year NHL career with the Anaheim\u00a0Ducks. He has 101 goals and 117 assists for 218 career points in 343 career NHL games. He was originally drafted by the Anaheim\u00a0Ducks 30th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.<\/p>\n<h2>What This Means for the Future<\/h2>\n<p>Rakell has been a huge part of the Ducks offence over the past two years. He is coming off back-to-back seasons of at least 30 goals. He led the team last year in goals and points.\u00a0 Rakell also isn&#8217;t afraid to their the body around as he recorded 115 hits last season. On the powerplay,\u00a0Rakell also led the team with 10 power play goals last season. Newly <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2018\/12\/03\/pittsburgh-penguins-trade-daniel-sprong-to-anaheim-ducks-for-marcus-pettersson\/\" target=\"_self\">acquired winger<\/a><strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/spronda01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Daniel Sprong<\/a><\/strong> will move up to the first line in Rakell&#8217;s absence. The Ducks are still without another one of their top scorers as <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/perryco01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Corey Perry<\/a><\/strong> is still out recovering from off-season surgery and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/e\/eavespa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Patrick Eaves<\/a><\/strong> is recovering from broken ribs.<\/p>\n<p>The Ducks currently sit in second place in the Pacific Division three points behind the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/flames\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Calgary Flames<\/a>.
