However he left the game after the second period in Tuesday&#8217;s win vs <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/wild\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Minnesota Wild<\/a>. Though he left after the period there was no clear indication of the injury during the game. He stopped 17 of the 20 shots he faced in that game.<\/p>\n<p>Over his six-year NHL career, Raanta has played for <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/rangers\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York Rangers<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/blackhawks\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chicago Blackhawks<\/a> and Arizona Coyotes. He has put up a 73-46-15 career record in 153 career appearances with 136 career starts. He also has a 2.34 goals against average, .920 save percentage, and 11 shutouts. Raanta has a career 0-1 record in three career Stanley Cup Playoff games, with a 2.56 goals against average and 8.95 save percentages.<\/p>\n<p>This season, Raanta has 12 starts for the Coyotes. He put up a 5-6-0 record with a 2.88 goals against average and .906 save percentage. He has also recorded one of his three career assists this season.<\/p>\n<h1>What This Means for the Coyotes<\/h1>\n<p>Raanta has been injury plagued this year. Though his appearance in only 12 of 25 games this season it does not lessen his presence is a valued part of the Coyotes\u00a0 defense. The Canes are also without their back-up goaltender <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kuempda01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Darcy Kuemper<\/a><\/strong>. With two goalies down the Yotes have made a few moves. They have called up<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/hillad01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Adin Hill<\/a><\/strong> from the AHL and claimed goaltender <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/pickaca01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Calvin Pickard<\/a><\/strong> off Waivers from the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/flyers\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Philadelphia Flyers<\/a>. Hill is expected to get the start tonight vs <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/predators\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nashville Predators<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Pickard has appeared in 11 games, eight of those being starts this year for the Flyers. He has a 4.01 goals against average and .863 save percentage. Pickard gives the Yotes an extra goalie and insurance knowing that Raanta has been injury prone.
