Currently, he is averaging just 13:33 minutes of ice time. Wideman&#8217;s tallied two goals and three assists for five points in 19 games this season.<\/p>\n<p>Wideman has spent his entire NHL career with the Senators. The team drafted him in the fourth round, 100th overall, in the 2009 NHL draft. In 175 games, he owns 16 goals and 27 assists for a total of 43 points.<\/p>\n<p>Wideman is one of the players involved in the controversial Uber video that created a media firestorm for the Senators. Despite the disparaging press, the move seems to be more business related. The defenseman has been a healthy scratch in the past two games and was moving toward a seventh defenseman&#8217;s role with the team.<\/p>\n<h3>Multiple Deals<\/h3>\n<p>After missing most of last season due to a\u00a0hamstring tear, Wideman made a strong effort to prove he could bounce back from the injury. He&#8217;s\u00a0looking forward to a fresh start with the Oilers, who have recently made some significant changes to both their roster and behind the bench. The team sent <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/stromry01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ryan Strome<\/a><\/strong> to the<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/rangers\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> New York Rangers<\/a> in exchange for center <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/spoonry01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ryan Spooner<\/a><\/strong>.
