The All-Star centre was driven into the boards and laid on the ice before getting up. Bergeron returned to the game, but he was favouring his shoulder. He missed Saturday&#8217;s game against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/coyotes\/\" target=\"_self\">Arizona Coyotes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He has scored nine goals and 17 assists for 26 points in 19 games this season. The\u00a0Ancienne-Lorette,\u00a0Quebec native also has 10 penalty minutes. His possession numbers are 56.3 percent Corsi-For and a relative Corsi-for of +7.6.<\/p>\n<p>The 33-year-old has spent his entire 15-year NHL career with the Boston Bruins. He has put 298 goals and 462 assists for 760 career points in 982 career games. The Boston Bruins originally drafted Bergeron in the second round, 45th overall of the 2003 NHL draft. He was part of the Bruins 2011 Stanley Cup winning team. In 112 career Stanley Cup Playoff games, Bergeron has put up 31 goals and 86 points.<\/p>\n<p>Bergeron was second in the league in scoring and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bostonglobe.com\/sports\/bruins\/2018\/11\/17\/bnotes\/qJemwJO4pujakmTfLKvIJK\/story.html?camp=bg%3Abrief%3Arss%3Afeedly&amp;rss_id=feedly_rss_brief&amp;s_campaign=bostonglobe%3Asocialflow%3Atwitter\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">he\u2019ll be missed in the lineup<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s a tough one,\u201d Bruins head coach\u00a0<b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/cassibr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bruce Cassidy<\/a>\u00a0<\/b>said. \u201cHe plays such a good 200-foot game .\u00a0.\u00a0. It does have a trickle-down effect.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>What This Means for the Future<\/h2>\n<p>This injury is the latest in a string for Boston.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/charazd01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zdeno Chara<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/mcavoch01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Charlie McAvoy<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/milleke03.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kevan Miller<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and others are out for the Bruins.<\/p>\n<p>Cassidy is shuffling his lines, but there\u2019s no replacing a four-time Selke Trophy winner. Bergeron is fantastic on both ends of the ice, especially face-offs.
