I recently asked goaltending experts if his style could lead to more injuries as he ages and there was one who questioned if he could hold up this year.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/j8yqAlflQ8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/t.co\/j8yqAlflQ8<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Josh Cooper (@JoshuaCooper) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JoshuaCooper\/status\/1057727423679090689?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">October 31, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h1>Jonathan Quick Injured Again<\/h1>\n<p>It\u2019s unknown when Quick got hurt, as he last played in an October 23rd, 4-2 loss to the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/stars\/\" target=\"_self\">Dallas Stars<\/a>. It\u2019s believed that this injury\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2018\/10\/07\/los-angeles-kings-jonathan-quick-sidelined-with-lower-body-injury\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">is not related to a previous injury<\/a>\u00a0that caused him to miss time earlier in the year.<\/p>\n<p>The two-time Stanley Cup winner has had a tough start to the year. He is 0-3-1 in four games this season. He has a 4.55 goals-against-average and an .845 save percentage.<\/p>\n<p>Quick has spent his entire 12-year NHL career with the Kings. He has a career record of 293-198-57 in 560 NHL\u00a0games.\u00a0 The former University of Massachusetts product has a career 2.30 goals-against average, .916 save percentage and 49 shutouts. Los Angeles originally drafted him in third round, 72nd overall of the 2005 NHL draft.<\/p>\n<p>The Milford, Conn. native is a two-time Vezina nominee and two-time Jennings Trophy winner. He\u2019s also the 2011-12 Conn Smythe winner and a three-time NHL All-Star.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/budajpe01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Peter Budaj<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhl.com\/news\/jonathan-quick-out-indefinitely-for-los-angeles-kings\/c-301360712\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">was recalled from the AHL\u2019s Ontario Reign<\/a>\u00a0over the weekend while Quick was being evaluated.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/campbja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jack Campbell<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0will take over as the Kings starter in Quick&#8217;s absence. Campbell is 3-4-0 with a\u00a02.72 goals-against-average and .912 save percentage so far this season.<\/p>\n<h4>Quotes<\/h4>\n<p>&#8220;Injuries do happen and not sure there&#8217;s anything, in particular, you can point to in this situation,&#8221; head coach John Stevens\u00a0<span id=\"token-E1FF06E2EC3792BD4119F\" class=\"token token-hyperLink\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lakingsinsider.com\/2018\/10\/30\/october-30-practice-focus-quick-probably-more-than-day-to-day-vilardis-progress\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said to LA Kings Insider after practice on Oct. 30<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think he&#8217;s done a good job of really staying on top of everything, his preventative maintenance, his daily routines, so these things happen sometimes and you have to deal with them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>What This Means for the Future<\/h2>\n<p>Campbell or Budaj will need to step up if Los Angeles is going to make up ground in the Pacific Division.
