The Blues have not yet announced a replacement for Brodeur. Brodeur joined the team after playing seven games with the club during the 2014-15 season. The Blues made the playoffs in Broduer&#8217;s first three years with the club but missed the playoffs last season. In three of the past four years, the Blues have been in the top ten for goals against.<\/p>\n<p>During his 22-year NHL career, Brodeur\u00a0played for the St. Louis Blues and New Jersey Devils. He won 691 games while putting up 125 career shutouts. He has won the Jennings Trophy five times in his career along with four Venezia\u00a0trophies. Brodeur led the Devils to three Stanley Cup Championships in his 21 years with the team. He is the league&#8217;s all-time leader for games won (691) and games played (1,266). Brodeur\u00a0led Team Canada to Gold in 2002 and was a backup to Roberto Luongo in 2010. He was the co-general manager for Team Canada who won the World Championships in May.<\/p>\n<h1>A Return to Jersey?<\/h1>\n<p>With Brodeur\u00a0leaving St. Louis there are rumours that he would return to New Jersey where it all began for him. It&#8217;s still unknown where Brodeur would fit in with the Devils management. The Devils hired <strong>Rick Kowalsky<\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/griermi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mike Grier<\/a><\/strong> as assistant coaches so it is likely\u00a0that Brodeur could end up in a management position with the Devils.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former New Jersey Devils\u00a0goaltender Martin Brodeur is leaving his position\u00a0as the assistant general manager of the St. Louis Blues.
